Anyone interested in a new box + a few sleeves of U-Tri tours? Happy to swap them for B330-S if someone tried the B330-S and preferred the U-Tri Tours.

Can’t help sorry V2O5 but am interested in your thoughts about the 2 balls and how they behave/perform. The U-Tri tours were my ball of choice until they were discontinued. I then went for the B330-S, based purely on the fact that they were supposed to be similar to the U-Tri. I didn’t notice any appreciable differences in spin/distance, although the B330-S didn’t seem quite as soft when chipping/putting. I’ve just bought 3 dozen U-tri’s again as Golfbox currently have them on special for $39/doz. Getting rid of leftovers I guess.

Another non-reply sorry, but I’ve been “told” that the U-tri tour and B330s are the “same” ball. Anyone more knowledgeable that can throw some light on this?

I would suggest that whoever told you that is retarded.

I bought the U-Tri Tours because a lot of people were raving about them being a cheap Pro-V1. Just couldn’t get use to the feel after a few sleeves and shelved them. They feel dead compared to the Pro-V1 and I found them to be shorter in irons.. especially short irons. Got hold of ‘1’ B330-S (no more buying 2 dozen!) from a Pro shop a few days ago and played it for 9 holes. It was ok, probably liked it more than the U-Tri but I’ll stick with Pro-V1. Balls that I’ve used in the past that feels good other than Titleist (Tour Balata’s, Professionals) were the Bridgestone / Rextar Pro-Model and Maxfli Revolution (the thin wound model). I went through a few boxes of the Maxfli revolutions and then had a long break from golf. When I got back into it and tried the Pro-V1, the gain in distance (especially driver) was too substantial to ignore! Still have some revo’s left for practice.

Good value balls the B330 S if you can get them for around $40 per dozen. I’m a Prov V1 man but they are bloody exy if bought new. Some of the Srixon 3 piece balls are good value even with the superceded models , coming in at around $30 per dozen. Once you get over the mindset that they are not ProV’s they perform pretty well doc
