As the heading suggests - do not want the plumbers neck.

Straight flange please.

I think cleveland and wilson may have one like it also. Scotty has a Circa 62 #2 that is a perfect one - but the tp mills is heavier.

Anywho . . . if you have one or know someone - i want it.

have a look at the new tm putters virge or just check the scotty thread http://www.iseekgolf.com/fo...

Talk about timing, I had one a couple of weeks ago and sent it back to TP Mills because it wasn't quite what I ordered.

I suspect your chances of getting one here are tiny. I'd either try eBay US or direct to Jay Green at TP Mills. His email is jay@tpmillsputters.com. Great guy. A new one should be around $280 shipped to Australia.

The classified section at www.golfwrx.com also has a few every now and again.

As you mentioned, the Circa 62 #2 is close, as is the Studio Design 2.5. Both are noticeably lighter. Stock Softtails are 345g but you can order them heavier. The Camerons are 330g.

If you want a cheaper heavier model, try the Never Compromise Exchange 4. It has adjustable weights. Their Milled Series 7 is the same shape but lighter.

Reading your post again, however, I note you mentioned a straight flange. The Softtail and the Camerons have pocketed flanges. If you want a similar shape with a straight flat flange, get a Bettinardi BB24. I had one for sale here a while back so do a search, but it is a great putter. Looks wonderful, feels even better.

Doddsy - outstanding effort - THANKYOU !

This is the Bettinardi I mentioned:

Just a word of warning with Jay, he has a tendency to promise a lot and then fails utterly to deliver. A real problem when shelling out for putters. My case was only some headcovers & grips but I was left high and dry.

I agree to a certain extent.

I've bought two TP Mills putters (Softtail & Fleetwood) through Jay and it did require some prodding to nail down the order. Once the money was sent, however, the transaction was very swift and the putters arrived within a week.

Just make sure the putter you want is actually in stock. The website is useless, contact Jay directly.

David Mills is the bottle neck, being that old-fashioned craftsman type. They are also trying to move into retail shops to compete with Scotty Cameron. I suspect this is is pie in the sky stuff, but who knows. It has affected availability.

On the positive side (depending on how you view it) the Softtail I bought, a custom order with a special neck, wasn't to my satisfaction and Jay not only refunded my money but also covered shipping to and from Australia.
