my old man is visiting in 6 weeks or so, looking to grab a cheap set of graphite irons right handed so i can take him out for a hit- if anyone has any please let me know. cheaper the better :)

thanks heaps for the offer mate! but maybe i didn’t present it correctly- he’ll down here in 4-6 weeks, which gives me time to find some. but he’s usually down once a month ish- i bought him a putter and driver and hybrid- i just wanna put together a set so they’re here all the time. plus he only plays a couple of times a year, hence the emphasis on a cheap set! might check out trading post w’e shopper etc.

Dr_Gribbles, I can’t help you out by selling or lending you a set but I may be willing to buy the set off you afterwards so you get most of your money back (as I am also looking for a cheap RH graphite set for my girlfriend).

Alternatively if you wanted to buy a new set from Lind or similar we could possibly figure out a price I could pay you at the end of the 6 weeks.

I see your only after irons… I’m guessing most of us have old/spare woods, wedges & putters lying around!!

yeah, but i’m a lefty :) when i get em though, i will be holding onto them mate, as he comes down regularly, and i’d like to have a set for him at our place. mind you he doesn’t know yet, he’d probably tell me not to lol.

I was going to suggest a “Like New” (read: brand new) set of Ben Hogan BH-5 offset graphite shafted irons 3-PW for under $130 delivered from here, but it seems all the right-handed sets are sold.

Might be worth sending them an email though, they may have a set that is not listed on the site.

US$99 plus shipping is a steal – I wish I bought two sets.

Where are you located mate? A friend of mine (inner-west Sydney) upgraded his old graphite set of callaway irons a while ago. As far as i know they are just using up space now so might be happy to sell them off.

i’m located at the gold coast mate! depending on price though i’d happily pay postage, but i would guess he’d want more than a couple of hundy for em.

I have a well looked after set of Top Flite Tour oversize with regular shafts, heads in real good nick i’d do for $100 picked up in Brissie. Play a little firmer than reg. I’m 700km north but the mate goes to Brissie every second week for work and they could be picked up from his hotel. Actually mom goes down this Sunday or next Sunday too.

I will try get pics, if im inspired i might even clean up one of the clubs to show their “potential”, because im pretty sure they arent clean (could be wrong though). Also these are quite a few years old, but like i said will find out more tomorrow.

gentlemen, I’m interested in both of the sets, though the top flights sound appealing given that I could pick them up in bris. although the callaways sound good too- I know postage or a full set from the US was $65 bucks, so i would guess somewhere around 35-40…. if you guys could email pics to drgribuls@yahoo.com.au that would be awesome, and i’ll get back to you asap.

LOL I was going to buy her a set as she was keen to learn, but she now reckons she’d play ‘once in a while’...so Im buggered if I’m spending big on good set for her unil she gets the bug!
