OK, so I got a new FT-5 Authentic Tour with an Ozik shaft…looking to pass on my current FT-5.

This club is in excellent condition, specs are:
9.5 degrees tour version (0.5 degree open)
Stiff Fujikura E360 shaft (Standard Length)
Headcover included
New GolfPride ‘New Decade MultiCompound grip’ (the red/black one)...has 4 papers under it

asking $250….try it here prior to going to the Bay. I would prefer pick-up in Sydney/Central Coast but can ship if needed…cost will be worked out.

what made you go for the one w the Ozik Shaft ?

I just wanted to try an ungraded shaft…and it is an X-Stiff 46 inch. The difference is just incredible (of course the driver I am selling is awesome too :)).

The Ozik shaft is longer, straighter and it is a little higher, but does not ‘balloon’....and it is comparing like with like because the heads are the same (except for the positioining of the hosel hole being a little closer to the face on the Authentic Tour head.)

I also got a ‘like-new’ Titleist D1 head thrown into the deal I need to figure out what to do with….

so the tour version is a different model to the Authentic tour version ?
thought they were synonymous !!
Does that then make the tour version not an authentic version :) ?

for your D1 why dont you add another Ozik Sahft in as a spare ?

Ok, last question first….my wife would KILL me. :) – But an option I am looking at…actually might grab a V2 shaft for it….she won’t notice another driver in the closet…surely???

yes the proforce v2 is pretty good bang for the buck …... if gotten at a good price
chances of going wrong is slim this shaft….

btw for you to be using x-stiff you must be clocking at about 110 – 115 mph ss at least ?

so in the end perhaps the old stock fuji shaft was too whippy for you !

yeah, I think I have slowed up a bit in my old <fat> age but I still think I am about 115mph at least…the shaft is X-Stiff 46 inch which makes it closer to Strong…strong is just above stiff oin the Ozik shafts.

I used to lose it high and right with the Fuji when it all went south…so yeah possibly too whippy

I am not timing the ball righ now so I have lost a bit of distance…need to get my tempo back. Chris saw me drive on Friday and it was not all that good.

What loft is the D1 head & do you want to part with it?

it is 8.5 degrees.

Sure, I was going to get a shaft for it and have a play with it but I can’t see anything dislodging the new FT-5 and the Ozik….what is a fair price for it? – I have not even looked.

live4golf, have you recovered from newy yet, tough day:). i’ve got the ft5 9.5. pulled that crap fit-on shaft out and put a v2 in longest driver i’ve ever had. it takes a big man to handle 46 inches of shaft :-)

I am still waking with cold sweats.

The 46 inch shaft is awesome, x stiff..with the length it makes it a bit like strong. Gets it’s first official course run tomorrow. On the range it was as long as the other Ft-5 (into a howling gale), much straighter and the extra weight in the shaft makes it feel much better…the waythe TA FT-5 sits is nicer to the eye too.
