Have had the problem before, pulling up the ISG page at work takes down my other internet sessions.

No issue, I should be doing some work rather than chasing down Stink’s post count however it does suggest a continuation of the same old problems.

is it just me or does it seem a tad quicker using Firefox instead of Google Chrome. My computer knowledge is negligible so I’m probably not talking sense here.

Madam, I know you’ve been away from your post for the last few days, and with good reason. But we’ve suffered from a few crashes with pages not being available for perhaps 10 or 15 minutes. I’m guessing one of your minions has had to reboot the server. Happened again this evening.

I’ve also has cause to visit the Whirlpool forums (not golf related). They have a huge wealth of various subjects, yet the pages always load almost instantly. Might I suugest that you examine the possibility of using the same software as them?

Thanks OB Our IT guys still monitor the site – Ill send your feedback to them now.

My understanding is that a change of software would help most likely, but in doing would possibly cause many other issues because of the overall site architecture.

Questions about the whirlpool software were asked 5 years ago when ISG undertook their shambolick upgrade. The answer came back that Whirlpool designed and own their own technology – you can’t buy it off the shelf.

Clearly the leader in forum functionality though.

My son is in IT with a large organization, they have similar problems because of the original set up. With how complicated the business structure is at present it would cost them a significant amount to put it right. I know where madam is coming from with this problem. Having said that it is a pain.

Thanks I’m on here alot as well so I also share the pain. if it was a simple fix it would have been already.

Those of us with some knowledge of the problem appreciate the magnitude of it all. And the cost.
