Does anyone else find that sometimes the site is slow to load? I’ve had moments when pages don’t even load ….

Agreed 100% – aware of the issue and unfortunately nothing I can do about it at this stage. It’s to do with the code not the server btw – plenty of juice left in the server :)

Pot luck..maybe it depends on wind direction :-)

Threads with a lot of pages & content seem to be the main offenders, either opening or posting in them. New threads open pretty quick.

I would love it to be fixed – it takes forever to get around the site as it is. As I said unfortunately it just isn’t going to get fixed any time soon and that is out of my hands.

I am in full agreement that it is a huge and annoying problem. Sorry that I can’t do more.

I have to say that this is the most annoying aspect of ISG. I still find the site & the threads interesting but get sick & tired of waiting for pages to load . Thus I tend these days to spend more time on the newer site. I would be safe in saying I think . That I am not the only Member that feels this way.

Site is both slow and out of time synch tonight. It crashed earlier and it seems that posts made earlier in the day are now carrying later (as in not yet occurred) time stamps. New posts are jumping above them in the threads in supposed time order, very confusing!.

It’s been slow for about 9-12 months – nothing new there unfortunately.

i tried timing how friggen slow this place is.
cant believe how long it takes to load a page.
tried to time it but the battery went flat in my stopwatch,
tried a sundial but it is night time.
if you worked for me at this pace youd be getting a written warning

Heeellllooooooo Admin by the time you get to read this it will more than likely be daylight such is the speed of the site tonight.

Fair dinkum it is just getting worse and worse, what do we the users have to do to get some action done re the speed and other changes that have been asked for, promised and never delivered.

Guys not sure I need to say all this again but here it goes.

We’re fully aware of the issues and I, more than anyone else, wants them fixed. I use the site all day and it is hellishly slow.

It is not up to me, it is up to the owners of the company and at this point they are not doing anything about it. We have made everyone aware of the issues and it is now up to them.

Consultancy….if you’re not part of the solution, there’s big bucks to be made prolonging the problem.
