Is there a problem tranferring text from Word. I copied & pasted something the other day & this happened.

Mate it seems you’ve been over-looked – know the feeling ;-)

When I cut and paste from word it’s a usual thing that i go through and change some of the thingies(??) like @#$^x%x* etc and found also that a :) .. either end of a sentence will draw a line through text.
I think it was Pom that showed me that a :) (without nose) is better than :) (with nose) ... hope this helps a bit… I’m confuzzled now…lol

when the line appears as above it eliminates the – (nose) from the smile so that you end up with :) as seen

For me, it seems to happen when I add apostrophise.

Is this still happening? There may have been a brief period back there when UTF8 characters were getting munged.
