I have been following a fabulous discussion in the “Ask Golf Guru” section of ISG – the subject: Let’s Talk GOLF MACHINE! One contributor “Lagpressure” has given me many points to ponder on the game. During the read I was wondering how many other people that contribute to the forum aren’t in Aus. My question/feedback is – is it possible to include in the profiles the country or state that the contributors live in?

Good thought Ditty. From reading the various threads, I have identified people from USA, U.K. Ireland, Holland, Denmark, Norway and many more. If everyone went into the player profile and placed on that it would be good as well. Shouldn’t be hard to figure out my home state.

I have lived in WA now for 5yrs and that is the only insult I have heard about league.
Lets look at the two games. League and Union- games of brute strength and speed. AFL- Game of finesse and speed.

Trying to compare these two games is like comparing weightlifting to ballet (literally) and FFS will you AFL fans please try really hard to come up with another insult because the ONE you all use now is quite tiresome.

The line is baited and set….now I shouldn’t have to wait too long: )

Get outa here!! Where do you live Leigh? I’m in Brisbane – Born and bred in Melbourne…lol love the place and visiting but not the weather…lol

I’m in Sydney. I know it’s a bit weird to barrack to out of state teams but oh well. And no I haven’t jumped on the bandwagon since the Storm won the comp last year. I’ve been a Storm fan since their inception.

Yes me too – it was never a thought mate – I am a victorian living in beautiful Queensland though… followed the Qld teams until Storm were birthed…lol My dad signed me as a member of Essendon in 1947 – he was a life member! Anyways, Go the Bombers and Go the Storm!!!

Interestingly I’m a Storm fan and if I had to have an AFL team it would be Essendon probably. Them or the Swans. I used to work at the Swans games at the SCG years ago and knew a few of the players ( that Barry round was the biggest man i’ve ever seen i reckon). I played Aust rules in Broken Hill and my club wore Essendon jumpers – hence i followed Essndon and West Adelaide.

I’ve followed the storm since their inception as a disgruntled former Parra/ Penrith junior who hated Denis Fitzgerald. Knew Scotty Hill so when the Hunter Mariners folded I decided a new team was in order.

And they have delivered me more joy than either the Eels or the choccy soldiers ever have!!

Good to see you guys have just as good a taste in football teams as I do. haha.

Ditty, my Uncle got me into the Bombers about 14 or 15 years ago when I was in primary school and haven’t looked back. Am really enjoying watching the younger brigade coming through.

Have clubs, I was the same, changed clubs every few seasons but knew Ben Roarty, so when he made it at the Storm I thought I’d follow.

Mate – the mighty Bombers have something no other team will ever have – they won the first VFL ever played… I think we’ll have a good year next season with the new stock that is coming up…we can only hope..! And, Go The Storm!!!
