I wasn’t sure where the best place for this post would be but since it is “feedback”...

Anyway – thanks to all the folks here who have helped explain terminology and so on to me. About 4 months ago my game started going seriously downhill – not long after I spent a couple of grand on new clubs. It got to the point where giving up golf and selling my clubs seemed the healthier option – as is reflected by a 3 month gap in my posting here.

Having invested time and money, I went back out and took it much more slowly with the intention of mulling over all the information people have taught me and rebuilding from scratch. Over the past 3 weeks it’s all come together again. I’m hitting better than I ever did with all clubs and am once again enjoying the game. The local trees have conspired to prevent my scores from reflecting improvement, although last weekend I carded well below my handicap and still felt that there was plenty of room for improvement. A fantastic feeling.

The info already gleaned from here and other sources has helped significantly and will also help drop my handicap several notches. It’s good knowledge, so I’m much obliged to give credit where it’s due. Thanks :)

We all know how much it means to receive praise for services we’ve offered, especially when it’s voluntary (as it is on forums). I really do mean it, ‘cos I truly was within a whisker of giving it all away. Both of you are fellas who have helped me.

Thanks guys. Another pair who have helped a bundle. To put the change in perspective, I shot my PB round today. That along with Sunday’s game has dropped my (unofficial) h’cap from 27 to 22 – where it used to be nearly 5 months ago – in less than a week. I don’t expect it to drop much from here on in, but if it does I’ll be stoked.
