Finally Federer has been beaten. Took a class player to do it, and what an awesome match. Each player had match points but in the end the Russian prevailed. And im sure Roddick and Hewitt are over the moon they dont have to play Federer in the final if either makes it. Especially Lleyton, cause if it was a Lleyton Federer final, i would put my house on Federer. I cant see Lleyton beating Roddick. Im checking the betting on this match. Im putting a grand on Roddick if the odds are good. Id be shocked if Lleyton wins.

Mau,
u still think Hewitt can beat A-Rod and then beat Safin? Man if
he did, it would be the biggest moment in tennis history. Simply
because Lleytons such an underdog its not funny. I personally
give him "O" "Zero" "Nada"
"Zilch" hope of winning. Quite frankly im getting tired
of all the C'mons.

it depends how fit he is and who's got their A game on the day. He's beaten both players before but roddick is in VERY good form lately. i'm glad federer is out as it makes the mens champ more interesting now.

Ended one of the great winning streaks ever -26 matches against Top 10 opponents. He was something like 58 wins, 2 losses having won the first set of a match. Far from tarnishing that record, but it all counts i guess. Some awesome tennis being played, the thing about Grand Slams is that the first week is sorting out the crap - the 2nd week is always good. But rarely this good?

I haven't seen the scores yet...but very dissapointed... Not sure what happened...but perhaps all those 5setters took it's toll on hewitt??? I'll have to catch the hilites on cnn later...
