The media today is full of stories about the AB’s imploding. They are certainly under pressure. Should be a great match.

My prediction – the much-mailigned Al Baxter to score the winning try, to New Zealand’s collective horror.

It will be interesting to see who the referee is. I’m presuming it would be a South African which can be dangerous in any case. Australia have a terrible record under Johnathan Kaplan. Would like to see Craig Joubert or Mark Lawrence get the gig.

I’m with you leighdog. Tight game with the Wallabies just edging it by 3-5 points.

AB’s recent history of performing when the pressure is on is poor to say the least.

I think Ryan Cross will come in and do a great job. I’m not a big fan of Mortlock anyway.

I really hate to say this but with Stirlo out, you just watch the Wallabies fire up – IMHO he was not a real good selection for captain but in saying that, he is a fabulous kick an outstanding centre and a very motivated player – I don’t think he does it for the team though as he’s no Gregan, but he is a match winner albeit all on his own shoulders – do you guys remember Stirlo’s 90 meter intercept at telstra that consequently contributed to knocking out the AB’s from the 2003 world cup? What a run!! We need him in the team but as captain I’d rather see another..

Yeh, totally agree – just heard that Smitty is going to be captain – thought Mattie Giteau would get a run or even Sharp, Waugh or Barnes – but there’s so many to choose from and Smithy’s been arouind a while – still think Mattie will control most of the play up toward the AB line… so you need to wear a bright pink hat or something recognisable…lol

He’s seth effrican and I like the way he goes about his business, I think the Wallabies will be happy with him holding the whistle and facilitating. He’s not too technical either which can be a good thing.
