anybody play online poker and whats your opinion on it. Just asking as with the absolute poker scandal and the ultimate bet scandal cheating is obviously happening in online poker not to mention claims of action flops, cold decks and rigged dealing. I have played on partypoker and pokerstars and i must say that the amount of bad beats are unbelievable.

i played on party poker and poker stars….

and was just sick to death of the bad beats…. just truly scary, so i stopped playing them….

Load of crap…..

Oh no please not the bad beat at internet poker whinge.

If you played as many hands in a bricks and mortar establishment you would see as many bad beats.

Go and post on the 2+2 BB&V forum and see how much sympathy you get.

lol yeah we played last night in a home game and i had a lock on a hand with TPTK and the guys hits runner runner for two pair. it happens live as well i know but online there is mire suspect hands i think

I personally played about 400,000 hands and have collected data on over 7 million hands. I have run my own statistical analysis on the cards and have found that the cards come out exactly as often as they should. There is no evidence of action flops, cold decks or rigged dealing.

heckler is dead on the money as far as bad beat freqency goes. But it does depend on your definition of bad beat. Most people significantly overestimate the probability that their own hand will win any given pot. The example tdoddsy just gave is a perfect example of assigning a hand the wrong value.
How many people would ever consider folding TPTK on the flop? There are a lot of different poker games and situations where that is exactly the right thing to do.

All quick, jerky and wobbly motions are improper execution.
