Blues to win by 20 plus tomorrow against brisbane. fev will kick 6 goals, and judd will eat the lions midfield for breakfast. I reckon the result hinges on eddie betts

Hope you are right Gribbles, since I am a league fan who adopted Carlton when I moved over to the west I don’t have enough knowledge about the game to join in any discussion, about all I can add is….. carn the blues : )

Hey! You 2 guys are supposed to be died in the wool Queenslanders. Where,s your loyalty:-)
A bad day on the golf course is better than no golf at all.

My loyalty is still full on with the Broncs and the Maroons pom but I need a team over here so I can stir Eagles and Dockers fans….and don’t they cry. LMAO

But! The Blues???

Hey hey now. lets try to be nice lol. that’s like teasing someone for being english! :-) lol JK plus i’ve been to two league grand finals and several afl regular season and finals games. and i reckon the atmosphere at any afl club game in melbourne, even if the two teams are running last, is miles better than league!!!!!!!!

1/ Battman joined me with the Broncs and Qld 2/ No-one could so I jumped on a bandwagon.
Mate I spent years being teased for being English so forget that one . Anyway there is only 1 true code of FOOTBALL!!! & that is the game where you do not use your hands. How can it be football if you can pick up the ball & run with it. ( bet that gets a response!!!)

I won’t argue that one pom but football is now a generic term.
Not a real AFL fan but back the lions when I feel like it.they are all different games with different skills required to play them well. I lean a little towards Football ( soccer) because it is the truely international game & I love to see Oz do well on the world stage.

even as a one eyed carlton supporter i have to say the lions (whom i despise) looked really really sharp. we never stood a chance. its a big problem that fev doesn’t stand up when we struggle. he seems to get down when he should be rallyng the guys. have to say chris judd IMO looked good. the guy just oozes class.

I think it will take another year or two for Carlton to get it together, Pagan did too much damage for a quick recovery.
The tool no longer absorbs our attention. Beyond and through the
tool we are rediscovering nature as it was, |
yeah you right sonab- i actually don’t follow pagan’s theory, more that he needs to motivate the younger guys rather than hanging his head, then kicking 5 or 6 when the game is effectively over! but i could not agree more that he needs some help up there. when he’s the only real option other guys need to step up when he gets shut down.

Fev gave out plenty of good leads but they weren’t capitalised on. Time and time again, turnovers were costing the blues points. That and getting thrashed in centre clearances. It’s worth noting that from quarter time onwards, the blues matched Brisbane point for point. The damage was done in Q1. A good overall effort considering the lopsided clearances. Judd was uninspiring, barely got a touch in the first half. I was impressed with Heath Scotland though.
divot: couldn’t agree more, scotland was verry impressive. judd looks effective everytime he touches the ball. But as far as matching the lions point for point after 1st quarter, I reckon the lions just cruised. kind of hard to keep that killer instict and drive when you’re ahead by so much early. i’m also impressed with eddy betts. that kid has so much heart, the rest of the team needs to take a leaf out of his book

yes agree with you gribbles about eddy every thing he did good or bad he still had a smile on his face the guy has so much talent.
he’s similar in my book to mark riddell who plays for parramatta (except betts has WAYYY more talent). both are an absolute pleasure to watch as you can see they actually enjoy every minute of the game and always play their hearts out, good or bad. I reckon its great to see guys who are making a living out of something we mortals could only dream about and they obviously are grateful for it.
