In my opinion, (although I’m not a Swans fan), what he gets and what he deserves are two completely different things. Case in point, Adam Goodes, haha.

Him and one of the Eagles players were jostling for position with a bit of push and shove. Then Hall turned around a landed a beautiful left hook on the Eagles’ player’s jaw. Knocked him straight on his backside.

The NRL> just issued a 7 week penalty for a king hit, don,t see why Hall shouldn.t get at least the same. It was a pretty cheap shot. Maybe he should book his next bout against Mundine.

Maybe the AFL could possibly introduce in the pre season cup that for serious incidents like this, the send off rule (like in the other football codes). Seems a little unfair sometimes that one team is a man short whilst the man who did the damage is free to play on.

I despise Barry Hall…especially living in Sydney. When he was a Saint he was hated in NSW but now he is a Swan he is a god…he is a dirty player who has lacked skill for a number of years. the way he is perceived in the media it makes him look like an angel…he is dirty and the game could do no worse if he did the right thing and retired…I am sure there are a few Swan’s supporters who would like to see his 1 game on, 4 games off level of play.

If I supported the Swans (and I do not support the Swans but I do admire their play) I would feel the same way about Barry Hall. He is a dinosaur and as I said in a previous post lacks real talent…he has let down his team and the supporters. I feel this way about all players that kids look up to…the Swans have set Hall up as an ambassador for the game and he has let everyone down.

I support West Coast…but before you say ‘sour grapes after the loss’ I feel the same about all players in all teams, kids idolise these people and they should set a good example on and off the field.

Different situation but the way the Eagles handled the Cousins affair was terrible…he should have been canned much earlier and the club really needs to have a clean-out of all the dead-wood…I would rather WCE languish at the bottom of the table for a while and have a team I can be proud of rather than a team that lets its stars get away with blue murder just because they are the stars….and my disgust at these things does not stop at AFL…Joey Johns…everyone knew what he was doing for his whole career…nothing done…Wayne Carey, same thing.

OK, I got way off topic there….back to it…Hall is a dirty player and I do not like his style of play.

If he gets more than 4 weeks, it is political.

Hell be out for 6 weeks with broken wrist anyway. I think the afl will want to make it more than that just so that its not time he would of missed anyway. I personally think 8 weeks.

the lack of reaction maybe has a little bit to do with the Eagles being on a good behaviour bond with the AFL and an all in melee being viewed as another black mark against them?

My beloved Eagles just have no team spirit nowadays…I think the Cousins crap has cut the club deep…it is going to be a few years before they get back to being a team…..terrible…I can’t stand watching them, they have no heart at all anymore.

he is out for 8 weeks with his wrist so his penalty is nothing…JOKE. his 7 weeks should start when he gets the all clear to play again after his wrist heals

i dsagree plugger was hated 10 fold more than hall before he moved to sydney

he is a dirty player who has lacked skill for a number of years.

he cops a harder time from apponents and umpires than any forward playing the game presently
he has cleaned his act right since moving north after playing for the most dysfunctional footy club in melbourne

he has done alot for the profile of afl in sydney like plugger,he is a draw card and has done heaps for footy up here.

i would take barry hall any day over the likes of gherig or lloyd
you have to remember he is a premiership winning captain.
even though saturday night king hit was a dumb thing to do.
what he has done on and off the pitch far out weighs saturday nights punch
