Wouldnt it be great to see these two teams compete in the Champions League Final.
From a sporting aspect, absolutely brilliant. For English soccer absolutely brilliant. I think it would cause a civil war in the NW of England;-)
Still a couple of huge hurdles to go yet for that fixture.
LOL yes they would have home ground advantage, Roman and his honchos will be out in force if it happens to be a ManU v Chelski final
it would be a great final with man u and the pool. should be a great final no matter who is in it to be honest.
Maybe they should move the final to Wembley.

logistically impossible at this stage. The final is booked 2 years in advance, there are more corporate tickets than fans tickets. Moving it is a non-starter. I think Man U have to be very worried about the Barca game. Lionel Messi will be back and don’t be surprised to see the renegade players pull together for the game. I think Chelsea (who can hold onto a lead) will beat Liverpool over two leagues but on an away goal. If Barca are cohesive in the two games against Man U they could go all the way

Not last night they couldn’t

Now that would be great. Still remember seeing Man U playing Bristol City in about 1977. I was with my Dad( seeing as I was 8!). Was a 1-1 draw, and we were behind the goals. Poured down the whole game, standing there with my big green coat on, pockets full of rain water, with a smile bigger than the harbour bridge!!

Isn’t that the slogan for English Laundry brand of clothing? I have an English Laundry t-shirt with that (Centre of the Universe)across the chest along with the city of Manchester gates.
Not sure where it came from. I have seen it on Tee shirts along with ” and on the 7th day God created Manchester” and on the “8th day God created Cantona” Obviously the tee shirts are designed in Manchester

Oh dear!!!;-)
A bad day on the golf course is better than no golf at all.

Bring on Chelsea, the Kop and Anfield await our meeting for the semi on Wendesday morning….let’s hope Hilario is in goal.

Barca to hit top form this week

a draw at the weekend suggests not!

Why say “bring on chelsea” then hope for their third choice keeper? :-?

Smacks of apprehension or even fear.

Liverpool v Barcelona is what I’m hoping for

Deflated by Risse’s own goal with 2 seconds left in injury time, Cech makes 3 crucial saves denying Torres twice as well as Gerrard…he’s a top keeper. Drogba going down faster than a $2 hooker from any slight touch or not. Chelsea’s defenders played a hard, physical and dirty game, John Terry and his knee into Torres’ midriff whilst on the ground and the arms and elbows into the back of our players heads in heading challenges.

Is that the 3rd time Riise has scored against his time this season?
lol! I bet the liverpool fans had wished craig bellamy had done a better job that time he took a 5-iron to Riise’s head haha!

advantage to Barca

Nice to see Gunner supporters taking pot shots from the peanut gallery ; – ) ..still bitter about not being able to see off and defeat Liverpool 3 games in a row? At least we are still in it with a small chance at Stamford Bridge, the odds are against us by not having scored a goal in the last 8 encounters there. The 5-iron fired both players up to score against Barca, Rafa or Carra should threaten Riise with a flogging before every match and he’d score for us rather than for the opposition or spraying a 30yd strike into row Z. I’m trying not to remember the other times Riise has scored own golas this season…there was one in the FA Cup against Luton. Skrtel scored one on his debut too. I think we had the commentatpr’s curse as they kept banging on about Skrtel’s own goal in his debut for the Reds. Ronaldo’s penalty miss this morning was horrendous. Good to see the Ref’s have stopped his stop-start jink when approaching the ball in taking penalties. My money is on the Red Devils at Old Trafford, Barca had enough chances 20 (6 on goal) and 73% of the possession to take a lead, but could not capitalise and break down the defence.

I still thin Liverpool will get through and Man Utd have to beat Barcelona. If Barca score Man U will be in all sorts of trouble.
