Rounds 1-7 the other 7 finalists for the Hawks. Some say it’s a tough start but i say you have to play them anyway. Rather play them fresh and hopefully come out in the positive and then see the draw open up for us after that and perhaps the chance to rotate or freshen the odd player up here and there and gather some momentum. Commercially it’s good with some blockbuster games at the ‘G on top of the great commercial support we get to play at our fortress in Tassie.
Also begin a 10 million dollar 4 year sponsorship with our secondary sponsor next year which is apparently to be announced in conjunction with us announcing a 5 year deal with adidas as our apparel sponsor. I did hear this may happen tomorrow but not 100% on that. I think the draw tends to reflect the best sides at seasons end anyway so if we’re good enough we’ll be there.

after all collingwood gets a pretty soft draw and run of not having to travel many times

I think the Crows played it smart. Volunteer to surrender picks in the last of the compromised drafts, rather than risk losing picks in future drafts when the spread of talent will be far more even. If the AFL agree to it then it shouldn’t hurt them too much.

love our 16 premiership cups specially the one in the early 70’s i do recall where collingwood was giving carlton a great old hiding until the blues suddenly a rose from the dead to beat ya’s
