Is he a little bit precious?

It’s like in 1996, I played at Yowani in the ACT 4bbb open. We came 6th, prizes were awarded down to 5th…..

Maybe what he meant was that by coming fourth you’re only one place off a medal and the disappointment is higher. You accept your lot more readily when you come fifth.

I get the impression that Evans is very precious. At the Tour de France, lashing out at reporters who get too close, pushing the police on their motorbikes. And I’m told he’s done similar things before. Hardly a model sportsman, and hell he doesn’t even win ;-)

Don,t believe everything you read in the Australian press. Yes Cadel was ONE of the favourites for the tour. Which was proven correct when he finished second. I believe he has won the tour osf Switzerland twice so he does win. He was also world mountain bike champion so he knows what it is like at the top.And let us all remember that nearly all these cyclist ride in the grand tours with massive crowds along the routes Yet for some incomprehensible reason the Chinese in thier wisdom prevented spectators from watching most of the Olympic road race.Cadel was not the only rider to comment on this lack of spectators. It seems the Chinese organizers in thier attempts to avoid any embarressing slip ups are causing themselves to look bad in front of a world wide audience.
A bad day on the golf course is better than no golf at all.

I saw the interview with Cadel on TV! He should just said that he is not at his best instead of blaming some thing else. Were there more spectators and atmosphere for the winner Cal? Oh! I was in lane 8 and it is a slower lane for swimmers !! And the crowds was too noisy and they distracted my concentration. If I’m in lane 4, I would have won. Eamon S. was gracious on his silver and he is certainly has good sportmanship and watch him in London. Don’t know both of them personally.

I’m all for an Aussie achieving highly and Cadel has done this in his sport, but did anyone hear the ‘dog’ interview. What, his missus can’t handle the situation without him interrupting the interview? After hearing that he lost me a bit. That wreaked of him being a total tool. Oh well, I’ll cut him some slack. Afterall cyclists are a rare breed.
