Boof,

credit where its due mate, those raiders are good to watch. 72-12 after being 12-12 at 25 minute mark.

Best part for me – I had Campese in my Foxsports fantasy team. I’m trying to catch my mate and campese will have to have scored 70 or 80 pts on his own today. pity i didn’t have him as captain!! double points

Congrats Boof, you played well!!

Thanks Have_Clubs – sounded like it was a great game for the boys in green. I don’t have Foxtel (it was either Fox or broadband) but my Dad was sending me score updates whilst I was on course today.

The boys have had a few weeks where we’ve put some high scores on the board – terrific for our for and against and certainly cements our position in the top 8 :-D

Cheers,

Mick

I hope they thump the storm in Canberra.

Yeah that’d be very nice… go boys….

ahhh "consistency" the holy grail of golf....

The boys will have a good hit out this weekend against Souths. They’ve played at home for a few weeks now so it is time for another bus trip to Sydney.

We have a pretty good run home with the Cowboys next weekend and the Bulldogs the following. Looking at my TAB account and I wouldn’t hesitate to give the Bulldogs 40+ start and still sit here comfortable lol

It would have been nice to have a tougher game against Newcastle last weekend but these games are good for getting the combination right.

Shame that we lost Justin Carney (broken eye socket) and Tom Learoyd-Lahrs (suspension – gone for the year) but it gives the other young blokes a chance to step up. Campo has been on fire the last few weeks and could very well play himself into a World Cup spot.

The U20’s are looking for a strong showing this weekend against Souths. They lost 38-12 in the last meeting but are already assured of a top 4 finish.

Cheers,

Mick

The Raiders are certainly playing the most open and attacking brand of league at present and I hope they keep on winning .Even though I’m a Bronco’s supporter it’s hard to understand how they managed to beat the Raiders last time round . Seems a real shame that their coach is leaving just when the team is going so well.

Boof,

See in todays paper the Raiders are planning to swap Carney for Brent Sherwin. Can’t say I can see the sense, Sherwin hardly made a difference at the Dogs his last couple of seasons and was dropped. At age 30 and 3 years out of the NRL, not sure what he adds to your outfit who seem to be able to produce their own. Win today would be good, its getting pretty congested around 26 points but with the Dog and Cowboy having nothing to play for you should be right.

Didn’t see the story malvernstar but I am against the Raiders signing any “has beens”. It isn’t a good policy and I’ve stated this before but the young blokes are the future and you need to nurture them.

When the Raiders were in the running to sign Trent Barrett I openly said, to all that would listen, that I would surrender my membership and support the Sharks (if Noddy ever left lol). I was that seriously against signing a player that asks big money and IMO hasn’t performed in the past.

Shifty Sherwin can certainly direct a team around the paddock and the experience he would bring to the side would be priceless but what about the young blokes like Campo and Herby who are carrying the side at the moment? Do you brush them aside? Nope – you develop them, make them an offer they can’t refuse and keep them in town.

A win today would certainly do us good mate. Any win is good but the “soft” run into the finals could cost us dearly. I’m confident of us knocking over the Cowboys and Bulldogs but teams with nothing to play for are often the ones to watch ;-)

Cheers,

Mick

Jaysus Boof, good win eventually but anymore injuries and Henry will be calling you.

I hope your weren’t serious about becoming Shire filth if the Raiders signed Barrett, Tom Uglys is the bridge too far !!

Not as fit as I used to be malverstar but would be proud to pull on the lime green and get out there for the boys. I’m 5 foot nothing and barely hitting 58kg on the scales so I might have to defend behind the line lol

Without Herbert I think we might be in a bit of trouble. I know it’s a team sport but we’re running out of players and Herby had a good combination with Campo so I think we’ll struggle.

I think if our defence can hold up we might be able to cut loose out wide again this weekend but geez I wouldn’t go putting any money on the Raiders this weekend.

Cheers,

Mick

PS I was serious about the Sharks too mate. They were my Dads team many years ago and I would love nothing more than to see them win a premiership.

Aren,t the Raiders playing the Cowboys this weekend. Reckon they could win that one with a reserve grade team.

58kgs Boof.

One of my legs would weigh that!!! You better stick to riding trackwork.

Sharks are alright if you got rid of Bird, Gallen and Stuart. Could be a case of one down and two to go!!

"Will the real slim shady, please stand up"?

Pom: It should still be a good game – a wounded team is a dangerous team in my books. I wouldn’t want to be playing the Sharks this weekend – Ricky Stuart will have the boys fired up for a massive game.

HCWT: My wife always asks me why I wasn’t a jockey lol I can ride a bit but never really thought of it as a career option. I think if the Sharks loose Noddy they will go 100% better – I really don’t know why he hasn’t been given the arse earlier.

Kiwi: Funny bugger lol If the Raiders form continues this weekend the Cowboys better start playing tomorrow ;-)

Cheers,

Mick

They can,t even play for 80 minutes so that ideas no good.
