I’m Blue through and through when it comes to State of Origin and supported the Canterbury Bulldogs since 1982.

On paper the Qld team should crush the Blues this year, their backline is impressive. I can’t believe Qld left Prince our of the team and went for an untried Hunt at 5/8.

Will Slater stay at fullback or is it a ruse and Hunt will move to fullback and let Slater play 5/8 for long segments of the match with his uncanny teamplay with Cam Smith? Then there is Greg Inglis in the mix as well. If I was a betting man, I’d want a 12-16 point head start to back the Blues.

That is the problem though isn’t it, over confidence, I wouldn’t be surprised if you see Inglis playing 5/8, Hunt at fullback, move Tate to the centres with Slater on the wing, with a back line of Folau, Hunt, Slater we could be deadly. Where would the Blues kick to then?

Should be a good series anyway.

Well Franky, better give your victory speech… O wait, nevermind ;-). Was a good game to watch. I thought the reffing was sound for the most part, and was nice to see Slater get belted just a lil :P He did reply well by starting that wasn’t to be full length of the field try. All in all I thought it was the right result, as a fan and as a spectator.

Do not agree Mr C I have seen better club games. Certainly did not live up to some of the great S.O.O. games of the past. Hope the level improves or I will not be watching much league in the next few weeks. Maybe the selectors could look at playing people in thier favoured positions instead of having half a team out of position.

MrC, I definitely agree the team that won deserved to win because they played better, but you could go to pre-school in any country that doesn’t play league and find a team that would have better attack than what Qld had last night, The reffing was not the best for either team (I’ll watch the game again tomorrow to try and work out why that scrum got called back). Next game if they play positions as have been mentioned and get rid of PJ and bring Prince in then it should be game on, I also think Dallas Johnson should wear head gear.

P.s. The pre-school line was never designed to take anything away from those filthy disgusting southern scum I mean NSW :), they played a very good game in attack and defence.
