No mention of EPL so far this season. Will it be a two horse race or can Chelsea Liverpool or even Manchester City pull back the points.
I must admit Arsenal look the goods ,after me writing them off before the season start.
Cheers

I’m a Red Devils fan too, and I’m curious that your talking up the Gunners, maybe a touch wood kind of thing.

I think that the title race is wide open between Man U and Aresenal, with Chelsea as possible spoilers. The Scousers (2 games in hand) are a great outfit too, with Torres looking the goods, but are too inconsistent in my book – they have come away with too many draws against lower ranked teams. But if they get on a hot streak it could be a real nail-biter of a title race for once.

The bottom line is how well each team can manage a busy schedule and cover injuries – and get a lucky bounce here or there. Man U pulled out some amazing escapes last season when their campaign seemed to be sputtering.

I’m a gooner. I’ll stick with what I (and a great many other people) said at the start of the season – if you finish above Man U you should win.

Arsenal are going to miss Kolo Toure for the next 6 or 8 weeks and that could be the difference between us winning and finishing runners up (maybe even 3rd!). The squad isn’t good enough at the back – if Gallas gets injured in the next few weeks we’re really screwed! Sendeross is an accident waiting to happen really. Djorou has gained valuable experience at Birmigham but will be nervous at first (if he gets games).

If Arsenal can stay in fron to the end of February, we have a fantastic chance of going all the way. To be honest though, I don’t see it happening.

am a poor leeds fan myself but reckon Man U will pull away towards the end…will be shocked if they dont….. would love see pool finish outside 7th haha…..tho doubt that!

its looking more likely after tonights draw with wigan!

Boos at Anfield at full time.

Rafa the gaffer won’t last much longer!

I’m a fan of Bolton, I never thought a teams MVP could be a manager but when Big Sam left, I went on the record as saying its all over for my club! Needless to say I haven’ really followed the EPL this season :)

Torres scores but Anfield drop two points against Wigan. Smug mode.

Well we have woken up, good stuff.
My comment on Arsenal is really believed, they are playing so well. if ManU do not win the title Arsenal will.
Arsenal have beaten teams that we haven’t.
They are doing really well.
Their only problem is losing players at the African nations cup.
The transfer window, I think ,will see ManU buy a tall striker, Berbatov hopefully. Maybe we don’t need a hit man with the three forwards doing so well, but I think I we need some one to take sick note Sahas place. Our defence is great, but I see the problem of arrogence when we play against lower opposition. Teams that should be beaten easily, play out of their socks and shock us.
Liverpool seem to have blown it again. Chelsea will buy this month ,but still a couple of games off the pace. Man City need to learn to win away from the “council house”. Looks ,to me, like the old firm again.
Cheers

How long is Tevez out for?

Bruised ankle, maybe a week, but Rooney will probably slot back in anyway.

Slightly off topic but still with the EPL. Chelsea ,Arsenal , Liverpool seem to have the easiest of the FA cup fixtures.
Manchester United should beat Aston Villa, but it may take two tries. Manchester City will ,I think beat WHU.
Any thoughts?

I think Man u will have a tough test against Villa, very good side this season anyone who watched the Chelsea 4-4 game should know they shouldnt be underestimated.

As with West Ham, its one of those teams thats frustrates me when I’m watching them along with Pompey and Spurs you just don’t know which team is going to show up.

Whereas Man City have been consistently solid the whole season- they have a good core of young defenders- Richards and Dunn and decent midfield- Elano and Petrov but they lack a clinical striker (I think they may be intrested in Anelka?).

As a United supporter, those Berbatov rumours seem very interesting, no doubt he would be a handy inclusion- they could use a tall striker. Only thing that concerns me is his attitude and the cost, 30mil pounds is way too much for a 27yo Bulgarian with attitude problems.

Man city are having a phenomenal year and should beat the hammers. Just read that sam allardyce is goooonne

yeah, 8th manager to be sacked this season :?

Its crazy – the fans are so fickle. At the end of the day there are only 3 domestic trophies.

Citeh are due for a loss at home

Allardyce was always going to struggle, playing that cack brand of football that Bolton play is not what the geordies want

Good move for big Sam would be back to Bolton should suit him and Bolton

Agreed geordies were never going to accept the brand of football Big Sam is a proponent of.

Shearer is the hot fave to get the gig, beware son, beware…..

Well so far two out of four. Liverpool were shocked , but I can’t see them being beaten at home by Luton.
Citeh( that’s new) should beat WHU, but as the man said Citeh are due a loss at home, but not to WHU.
Cheers

Whow a big weekend for Manchester United 6-0.
A bit lucky, playing the barcodes when big Sam got the bullet. We would still beat them, but 6 goals all in the second half! Must be close to a EPL record.
Arsenal shock dropping two points to Birmingham. Liverpool also below par. The other top half results went the way I would expect.
Cheers
John

yeah, birmingham did well. We had chances but were below par. Still, we’re tied at the top and theres still a long way to go.

Anelka could play a big part in drawing chelsea back into the title race.
