CCR where there is no ACR

What’s the rule in calculating the CCR if the course does not have an ACR rating? I know it cannot be 1 below or 2 above (or 4 depending on circumstances) on the ACR but that’s all based on the course having one. We play at Fairfield Golf Course where there is no ACR and the course par is 69. I know the par is not the same as the ACR but is there a way of pegging the CCR in this case?

Without an ACR, you can’t calculate a CCR. Or at least, you can’t apply the correct limits.

There was an ACR for Fairfield in old books of 67. Maybe they aren’t even affiliated with a golf association or Golf Australia.

Hi Publish,

Thanks. I’ll talk to the guys to see if they’ll agree to use an unofficial ACR of 67 so at least we can keep the CCR from sliding up and down too much.

I suggest you contact the State Golf Association and explain your problem.

Love playing the game and interested in the Rules

The course might also have changed and the old ACR of 67 might be wrong.

Thanks, I will see if I can find some answers from the State Golf Association.
