These are some vids before and after some lessons. The first 2 are before and the following are after. They are not the best videos but any feedback would be much appreciated. It would probably help if I knew how to slow them down.

You have got rid of that slight “lift” at the top of your backswing (among other great changes). I am working on that. Was it a thing you worked on? I am working on this … it tips the spine angle towards the hole and causes me to go OTT.

I’ve been working on it for about 2 months and just last night I worked out an easy way to avoid the reverse pivot. I just make a more extended take away. It also gets me into a more upright position on my plane, instead of so flat.

In the second vids I’m swinging a lot slower than normal. I was working on improving my lag and rotation through impact.

glennbo,
My Tip is to swing back so that my left shoulder is over my right toe. It works ok but I still tend to lose that important spine angle.
I also use the opposite on the down swing where I swing thru so that my right shoulder finishes over my left toe. This also helps to minimise a hip slide towards the target.

Actually thats one of the things I’m try to do. Tried it on the course today and hit some beautiful shots, including a nearest the pin

Are you having ongoing lessons? If you are then listen to your pro and only him, advice here will just cause confusion and conflict in your mind.

down and out…did ya get that?

Hey Toolish,

I appreciate the intent of minimizing confusion, but that comment needs to be qualified with “assuming the pro knows what he’s doing” doesn’t it?

I’ve learnt more and gained better results from Dart, Guru and other on this forum (including you if I recall) than all the pro’s I’ve ever paid for in my entire life.

Actually, what I’ve been learning seems to be a hands on approach to a lot of what I read on these forums and vice versa.

Toolish. I’ve done a 5 lesson package with him.Just need to come up with the pennies for some more lessons. But he has given me enough to work on for at least the next couple of months, a lot of drills to keep instilling the changes and improving.
Really pleased with how things are going,I’m starting to rotate through impact and getting my hands in front of the ball at impact aswell, something I’ve never done before. Trying to improve position at top of backswing which I think is going well. the latest drill I’ve learn’t is to improve lag.
Good thing is when I go to the range he comes over to see how things are going and gives me direction if I’m not getting things(positions) quite right.
All this said, I would still like to have a lesson with Bio.

Yep…can’t argue with the quality of instruction from the Dart and Guru, but if you take a bit of what they say and a bit of what the pro says you can end up with a great understanding of your swing, or bloody confused!

All I am saying is commit to the path you are on, and if the pro you are seeing isn’t getting you on the right path then get the map out and find a better way to go.

Glenbo,
Don’t ever close your mind, you learn little bit off everyone, as long as your being provided the right information at hand, appears your on the right track, any educated hands is good information from any coach, at the end of the day you will workout how to educated your hands yourself, ball flight soon tells the story.

BackTo Golf, your spine angle stays on a pivot and doesn’t move as soon as you start trying to move over your right toe your swaying your spine angle and jaming yourself, instead of rotating your swaying

Bio I understand what your saying, just having difficulty executing it at the moment

Glenbo,
stick with it, mastering your hands takes a long time to master, but once mastered you never look back,
And you never stop monitoring them for the rest of your playing days,
everytime I touch a club, I check my hands and ensure they are doing there job, if they aren’t they get a quick retrain
