Good day folks
My 5 iron is about 150m finished distance not carry. My 4 iron is 120m he he he .
What’s your average ?
And what do you use when it is 90m to the pin?

5 iron would be about the same – 150m, probably a little more.

90m to the pin, depending on the lie, either an easy PW or my 52* GW.

5 iron is around the 160 mark
52* wedge for 90ms depending on if i’m needing to punch out or not…

Seems like you guys are the ave. And I’m one or 2 clubs shorter

5i = 170 avg
from 90 out its a 3/4 pw ,
or
a full swing opened face pw – fade it in softy as some days less than full shots are hard to get right for me
my sw is only good for 85m, and lob 65-70

a really good swing has seen 165 but average about 150-155 and is straight only 40% of the time…..which is why I’m seeing the Dart tomorrow… !!!
PW is usually 100m but of course, at 90 will do a 3/4 swing which usually sees me over the back of the green…don’t you hate it when it all goes right and it wasn’t meant to !!

I like to think I hit my 5i 150m however we have an uphill par 3 that plays about 136m and I need my 5i to make it.
90m PW but should probably hit the 9i for the reasons above.

So Style
what do you do with 90m? And how long do you drive? And what is your handicap?

We are the short ones!!

90 meteres? Thats 100 yards so most likely its my 58 degree Sand Wedge.

If you’re asking what I do when I’m between clubs then the thought process goes a bit like this:

Wind: With, against or neutral?
Lie: Fairway, first cut, deep rough?
Slope: Uphill, downhill or flat
Greens: Firm or soft

Taking a few other things into consideration will provide me with what I need to make the decision on which club I play. I can knock 10% off all those figures just by gripping down a couple of inches.

Guru has promised me that once I mastered the 3 hinges in October I’ll be able to build my own yardage chart for each club that will take into account HH, VH and AH.

The possibilities are infinite!

5i – 130/135m

90m usually a 7 iron but whatever I feel will do the job.

5i – 200-220 m (don’t use too much currently – only in warm up for driver)

Haven’t set foot onto the actual course in 6 months

Punch 58* SW – 90 m
