Shadow Practice

You are on the range at your course before /after your competition or maybe you are hitting pill’s at the range down the road before/after work. Regardless, you have the sun over your back so your shadow is in full view when you are busting that pill.

Do you like it? Does it tell you things? Does it help? Do you dislike it?

It is the same on the putting green when you are putting or having a few chips.

Your thoughts?

I’ve heard of the merits but have never enjoyed it or sought it myself

I love it. I always feel I am going to nail a shot when I can see my own shadow :-)

Yes, it instills confidence in me when I can see my swing in shadow on the course. A few practise swings away from the tee, getting the feeling of not overswinging (toomuch:) and dropping into the slot etc. The same for putting and chipping.

I guess I like to watch;-)

Anyone read “The Missing Links” ? Those who have will be killing themselves laughing right now.

no real keen on the shadow but i do like to try and focus it out – if you know what i mean…. focus on the ball and not notice it.
bit like how i like to hit range balls with other balls in close proximity
( to being hit)

If I’m looking at my shadow, then I’m not focusing on what I should be. To me, this would be offputting and a dead set no – no.

The key to success is to learn to do something right, then do it right every time. Oh I wish.....

No good when the suns not out either:)
