Dart and Guru,

Do you mean ‘correct’ or ‘right’ shoulder plane? If the latter can you explain what you mean to avoid any confusion in what others might visualize.

Guru,

Bio, The only way to get the right right Shoulder Plane is to watch the sucker till it is right. The right shoulder can get above the plane with only a small loss in power for the normal players. “What laying it off” (flatter downswing plane) demands is more turn through the ball with the pivot. If they are that good they should be drilled onto the “right” plane.

Also the pivot you are referring to above, is that hand/wrist pivot?

Geoffb, The right forearm would do it but even that can have different plane angle variants. Shoulder plane, turned shoulder, elbow, hand, or some place in between. The pivot I refer to would not go below elbow plane for max result. If you meant hand /wrist pivot I don’t get it.

The Dart, Just curious here. Are you a golf pro and if so, how many years? If you are a golf pro, how many years as a touring professional have you had on a major golf tour? If you are a teaching professional, which golfers do you teach who are at a level of being “elite”. OR, are you a weekend golfer who reads too many golf instructional books? I am just curious as I said…. uraknob

What difference would it make to you to know the answers to these questions? You have capably demonstrated your limited intelligence already and further taxing of your low IQ would serve no useful purpose – you would still be a knob, uraknob.

Uraknob: You might wish to change that handle. Read the Golf School section and you will work out who is who.
