Putting ball position

What is the best ball position when putting. Some advice I have had is ball in centre of stance others have said inside left instep.
 

Either works. Once you have set your wrist angles to the shaft they must not change.
 

I personally have a preference for inside the left instep. For me the benefits were:

able to line putts up
smoother putting stroke
reduced the times I pushed the putt

It is personal, practice both at hom, and see which works for you
 

I personally put it slightly closer to my left foot and I like to ‘forward press’ my putter
