Good Youtube videos for DIY lessons

Can anyone recommend any good Youtube channels for self taught ‘lessons’ that might help get my game back on track? I’ve had look at some, but it seems that just about any numpty with a golf club and video camera thinks he/she is qualified to give golf tutorials. Particularly looking for good videos around ironing out the dreaded slice.

Unfortunately I can’t really justify the spend on lessons at the moment but I am extremely keen to try and resurrect my ‘game’ from the pit its in.

Does anyone have any good tips?

Cheers

Also Martin Ayers, Jeff Ritter, lagpressure, Brian Manzella and of course our own HP Grat Garrison and the ISG lesson page.

Pick someone you like the cut of their jib and go for it, have some fun.

Of course I’m just a hack, so my opinion aint worth mush at all.

Frontbunker, the vids to check out for slicers are those that target the shift of weight during the backswing and the shift of weight over to the target leg in the downswing. Don’t get caught up in the arm swing vids they won’t cure your slice. While thinking of the arm swing the more important weight shift gets forgotten.

Totally ignorant about almost everything except golf.

Greg Mchatton covers that stuff well I reckon, lots herefor him.

Mark Crossfield (4GolfOnline) does some excellent videos. You can send your swing in to him via his aps and if your lucky enough he’ll do a review and give you some tips on it.

There usually isn’t a “quick fix” to curing a slice though, so if that’s the type of videos you’ve been watching it will explain you’ve been seeing nothing but useless fools with a stick their hands trying to tell you what to do.

Try this guy. Google ‘Shawn Clement Wisdom in Golf’’.

He’s a top rated Canadian PGA member and his videos are very insightful.

Hi Frontbunker,

How about typing ‘Lorien Scott’ into YouTube and watching some of his videos there. They’re all nice and short and he tackles a number of different aspects of the game.

Best of Luck!

Thanks all, some good leads.

I plan to get out to the range tonight with my phone loaded up with a couple of videos and see if I can put into practice what they’re all preaching…
