This has to be said Every time someone comes on here with a new product or expresses anything contry to your beliefs you jump on then like a ton of bricks. headpro introduded him to the forum with his new product and all you guys have done is bag him. If we disagree with zen and his ground forces we get accused of attacking his livelyhood and he crys like a baby. What about focus bands livelyhood as far as i am concerned he has answered all your questions without giving you all the details. why should he. did you not pay your $50 to listen to dr mumford to get the whole story. dosn’t zen ask for money to perform a screening. BTW ty graham for your kind email you have solved the missing link for me to perform in an activity, and for confirming my every day lifes anxietydrills Back to TPI where their is no bias or the fabulous four who know it all to contend with My favourite post so far Foster. You are spot on. It did need to be said but I have started to realise that that the loud minority seem to rule the roost around here… they sure do peter, they do and say as they please, but the rest of us have to toe the line. i have been called an egocentic and get fired on from all angles because i choose to say what i think,as sen sais to me and razaar we have no right to an opinion. well dam it i will continue to express myself and give my opinions as i please i have been holding back “no more”
Good stuff mate.

Peter M, This is your quote below, I agree that it is not worth arguing about with you (for our sake and everyone elses) so I will not post again on this subject and if you and zen agree as you say then I will expect no more argumentative posts from you also.
We kept to our word and stuck to the agreement, you laid down the ground rules we abided. What happen to keeping to your word and sticking to the agreement?

Your wrote: “]There is still a couple more steps in the process, we haven’t brought up switching from overt attention to covert attention yet!” hpractitioner: Please bring your view of that up, then, so we can continue. For some reason, either how we are describing it, or for some other indiscernible reason, I cannot see that your process does anything to block the transmission of the anxiety signal to the immune system, which is the point at which all the interruptions occur, whether the person has experienced “readiness” or not. One can be ready for battle, but when the bullets actually start to fly, best have some form of impenetrable armour. Readiness is not the armour, though it may help with knowing when to use the armour. EEG will show that. There is nothing to contest in what you say about readiness. I simply have a problem when others assert that what they provide goes beyond that point, unless it actually does so. Anxiety is ever-present. Large or small, normal or abnormal, it can interrupt actions, which happens even when we thought we had everything resolved, since anxiety is non-discriminatory. It responds to any intrusion, good or bad. it does not know the difference, since it is in place as a human defence mechanism and heeds every piece of incoming “mail.” Our only option is to be able to block the signal it carries, and that is only possible in short doses. Preparation alone does not have that capability, no matter how strong that preparation is. It’s not my rule. it’s like the law of gravity. We can’t change it – only manage it. Preparation contributes, but does not manage the moment. The eye movement needs attention, too. With clear keys in use, the eyes are still. On manual (without a blocking agent) they may flutter. When you are standing over the ball, there is no time (even under the rules of the game) to account for biofeedback and accounting also is not the same as signal blocking.
Back to the topic, above is what Keygolf responded to HP. This is interesting and I would like to hear their response this is interesting information for everyone.

BTW stink you was right on que as usual.
I never miss a que Foster.
I have done my best with you foster. I have been polite and patient. Tried to discuss things. You have proven to me once again that you can’t be conversed with appropriately in a forum situation for several reasons, the main being your interpretation of what is said as always being personal.
This time you would be right with that.
I wish you all the best but I must wise up now. I will no longer be doing that and ask you refrain from addressing me too.
I hope this extremely interesting and intelligent conversation between hp and keygolf continues to all our benefit. Maybe we should all let the actual experts talk it out.
For what it’s worth, I’ll be trying the focus band at my earliest opportuity, it sounds fascinating.

I do believe they are talking about the critical difference between success and failure.
These points are being attacked so cleanly.
Let’s see what they have to say.
I have been very encouraged by what Dr Mumford and hpractitioner have to say.
I have a little understanding of Clear Keys. I play like a hero now.
What is overt and covert attention so I have some idea before I see Peter Croker?
De focus and peripheral vision I get. A bit like routine 5 in Chap 14.
Having different words for things bring them into focus with more clarity.
For tuition in Sydney call Paul Hart (TheDart) 0412 070 820.

Hi Dart and Keygolf.
2 of the systems we have running – Gaze (eyes) and Focus of Attention (mind)
Overt attention (single object) Where ever your gaze goes your focus of attention will follow, (like the law of gravity), thats how our brain works. We gaze out to the hole our focus of attention follows it.
Covert Attention ( two objects) Once our gaze and focus of attention have come back to the ball for the last time, this is when we can use covert attention. So our eyes can be on the ball but our Focus of attention can go back out to the target.
Overt & Covert Confusion What happens to most people is when the look out to the target and come back to the ball they are trying to keep the target in there focus of attention, it can’t be done (As per overt attention of the brain) you must allow the focus of attention to come back to the ball first before going back out to the target.
Anxiety This is one point in the routine where anxiety can come in, the confusion in the process, as most people don’t know or understand what the correct attention sequence is.
This is what we can measure on the focusband, how well someone is controlling there overt and covert attention in there routine.
(obviously there is a full pre shot routine attached before this and a couple of other steps after this, I can’t give the complete system away!!)
Clear keys Can you let me know when you use the clear keys in the routine, I have not used them before myself.

HP, Clear keys is even used to train a motor skill like, grip, stance posture to go from manual where we think about it to automatic and do non consciously. What I like about this is I can measure whether or not it’s still manual action requiring thought or becoming ingrain so the skill performed is automatically. For what we do at ZenoLink it’s perfect because it allows people to swing on automatic which is what we train people to do in producing motion, speed and power with out thinking. In golf mode it is part of your pre-shot used at the beginning and used through out the golf swing until full finish. Addressing Anxiety is only one part of what clear keys can do.

My thoughts exactly- It didnt mention Focusband but Im pretty sure it is.
Ive done the Focusband last year, it is really interesting. I think they should apply it to people who have trouble sleeping as well- it really gets you to a “good place” ;) I mean that in a good way to.

They are Brisbane based and were trialling it last year with HeadPro over at The Golf School Palm Meadows.
The market of course is in US not just in golf but any type of sport really.
When HP did the clinic pre National event I dont think many were game enough to try!
