Clearing the right hip

I believe a lot of my pulls to the left stem from the fact I dont clear my right hip on the way down and therefore the club is coming around my body.

What can I do/practice to ensure I am more front on at impact.

GSS,

My big flaw as well. I flip my hands through the ball and hit a hook, happens often when I’m only hitting a 3/4 shot. When I’m practicing (albeit rarely) I really only have one thought, to get my belt buckle pointing to the target. I’m no expert on the golf swing but assuming everything else with my swing stays the same it works for me.

Get a hoola hoop and learn that you can easily disengage your hips from your shoulder motion. You can keep in shape better too:)

Stick your hands on your head, make your back turn. Now slide the hips a tiny bit forward (not turning, sliding), leaving your shoulders where they were. THEN drop the right shoulder down plane and rotate. It is actually a very graceful motion once you get it. Until the penny drops it can feel very forces as you are so used to doing everything as single hips and torso motion.

Guru, tom tom gave a very good description of the hula hula in his TGM school tapes, lol, remember the in and out motion, same thing but a bit rude for forum “chuckle chuckle”

It was unPC but boy that sticks in the grey cells like glue.

What did he say? My imagination is going off here. :) Could we have the “G” version of what Tommy T said.

I would like to hear how Brownman describes it as a user rather than teacher. His journeys insight will help others who have not been there before.
