On the Range

I went to the range this morning before work just to hit a few wedges for no reason except to just hit a few balls to kill time. As I was on the range, there was an older member or a VET hitting his 5 irons some 100m which was cool. I hit about 20 wedges and thought, what the heck, I will hit a few 5 irons. I only had my wedge with me so I started to hit this 5 iron and his 5 wood. The shafts in them were graphite and like a slinky stick. I slowed down my swing and was flushing them. If anything. I hit a few snappers with the 5 iron/5 wood but I slowed my swing down so much and the balls went straight with a small draw. If anything, it was cool to concentrate on slowing down the swing and I had to adjust my leg action. It was cool, I did not hit the ball as far (5 iron about 150m with a senior flex). However, I had a nice ball flight with a senior flex taking into account I was swinging the club so easy and waiting for the club to arrive at it’s ETA.
I was hitting the 5 wood between the 180-200m range and as it was a 17 deg one. That is my 2 iron distance but the 5 wood had a better flight? I am changing my 2 iron for a 5 wood I reckon. I love my 2 iron but it is dead.

not too surprised about it though….

If Tiger plays Lefty will he be that good ?

TIM28,

There is an example of “gee that works”. Don’t do anything until you learn these lessons. There are at least 5 lessons.

Every one should do this. Any HG man can show you the full range of shafts for your education. Usually no charge.

HG man?

His wife doesn’t play with them:)

HG man?

Any good pro with more than one shaft to sell.
