Right Elbow

I have been working on keeping my right elbow as close as I can to my body to promote a more compact swing. (I am a right handed golfer) It is working I reckon but it will take many more balls until it is my friend. I have also found that doing this and getting some more shoulder turn in my swing works wonders. I reckon I am close to going to the dark side and finding out how to play even better? Who knows

good luck!

Guru already told you, but you didn’t hear it. It’s not so much about staying close – but getting back together again – that’s gold!

All quick, jerky and wobbly motions are improper execution.

TIM28,

We don’t say close. We say active through the ball and tracing the target line.

This activity is passive for swingers and driving for hitters.

Dart, could you clarify “passive” ? The R arm is just along for the ride?

Reverse every natural instinct you have and do just the opposite of what you are inclined to do and you will probably come very close to having a perfect golf swing. - BEN HOGAN, POWER GOLF

Passive apart from guiding on plane and providing extensor action to the CF powered swinger.
