Hey guys,

Does anybody know of any instructors teaching the Stack and Tilt method and fundamentals in Australia?

Cheers guys.

Chambo
Find any authorised TGM instructor and they will be able to assemble you a s&t stroke pattern

Where is the best lace to find a local TGM instructor?

Is there anyone out there teaching it the way Bennett and Plummer teach it?

Stack and Tilt is pretty good, their stats measure up very good
Where are you located?

You may struggle to find any S & T instructors in Aus’ but Chuck Evans and David Orr in the U.S have a good handle on it. Both are TGM as well as being in personal contact with the S & T guys and are capable of teaching all variations of it.

Chambo,

What’s so hard about S& T. I have taught myself and others in two swings.

Imagine you are swaying head towards the target about a foot. Your body feels like a left handers finish. This makes it easy to swing back flatter then do a Fosby Flop, which is a stand up move with a small curve in the small of your back.

You will know straight away if you get it because it makes all the moves tight and strong. You get the feeling you are trapped by your own good golf swing. You might get a few pullhook. Just do a plane check and enjoy the brute force of the swing.

No charge.

Stack and Tilt? Taught yourself and others in 2 swings? You are having a lend of yourself.

Vernen,
I seen Dart teach another professional to do stack and tilt in two swings, How simple dart communicates stack and tilt ,students can learn stack and tilt in two swings. Is that easy to do. Then of coarse you continue the motion till it becomes repetitive.

Wow!

So Vernen, you have just joined this forum and you’re initial contributions are to have a go at one of the most respected posters on here. Did you take time to check who Dart was before you decided he didn’t know what he was on about, or was it just a gut feeling?

I hope the change in the forums see a probation period and posts being reviewed for the first few weeks.

Dart, I don’t suppose you are in the Sydney area? – If so is there any chance we could catch up as I am very interested in the S&T as I think I have some attributes of that swing already and I’d liek to give it a go but can’t find anyone who can teach it

Live4golf,

Sure I live at St Ives and do a bit of work at Paradise Park Terry Hills. I thought everyone knew. I would love to help before I die or go fishing in NZ.

I hope to die running after an 8Lb. brown trout on the Tongariro River, fall and break my neck while I am still full of hope.

Iseek can tell you where I am.

Vernen,

It’s O.K. mate.

Not everything is difficult if you know you are dealing with clever people.

Most people are smarter than they think!

It is just that we are used to dealing with a world that has not got a high expectation or clue of how to achieve it.

Styles…Wow? No, I was not having a go a “Dart”. All I was saying is that it is BS that you can teach a person S&T in 2 swings. Yes, if you have talent but I was kind of thinking that most people on this forum have not got to the level of talent that they would like to be. Did I take time to see who Dart was before I posted? No. Why? Because I know who the guy is. What is this BS about a “change” in forums or a probation period Styles? And yes Dart, most people are smarter than they think they are and to achieve something is to achieve working it out first once you have achieved that and then it is achievable.

Vernen give it a rest you are not adding anything to the discussion by attacking each suggestion, if you have an idea about how better to do something then say so, you are beginning to sound like you have been kicked off this forum before

No Sonab, I am not attacking people. And no, I have never been “kicked off” as you have said. This is a forum Sonab and not a rehab clinic. If you believe I have nothing to add, that is your PHD to do so. Will I add golf tips and advice on here? Of course I will. I just gave you one above…

Yes, Just about any instructor can teach someone to reverse pivot if that what they want.

Sorry meant Stack / Tilt…......my bad

Am actually more surprised that no one on these forums ever discusses Jim Hardy’s one plane Vs Two Plane golf swing…...(Or maybe I missed that thread)

Seeing as how regardless of everything else that is taught the majority of us have either a one or 2 plane swing (Anyone with a 3 plane swing should be discussed in a different forum completely….hahaha)

Vernen,
Stack and tilt you can learn in two swings, then you practice stack and tilt till it becomes repetitive, Dart didn’t say then you’ll stack and tilt happily ever after. People are smarter then you think so they know after two swings and learnt stack and tilt, they have to practice the motion till it becomes repetitive. like any golf motion

Hardy’s one and two plane swings have been discussed over the last couple of years.

Stack and Tilt is not a R.Pivot any more than GE’s lack of weight transfer swings or indeed the old Triangle Connected backswing when done correctly. All of the above have potential to RP if not carefully explained.

2 swings? I had a 4 handicapper learn it in 3. It was an interesting lesson as he wanted “to feel a modern swing.” This chap felt the reduced motion vs his swing fast. Its like any swing, they all have some pro’s and con’s for a player. What they are really depends upon the starting point.

Guru,
Your slipping three swings, come on pull your weight back to two swings : )

Speaking of Reverse Pivot, I have a fairly bad one.

Any drills that anyone can recommend for me?

Thanks

G42,

It is caused by steering, which is keeping the clubface square and that causes a slice, then you quit which is stopping at the ball to flip the clubface square, that causes a fat contact , then you sway forward to get you divot more forward.

Learn to hit the ball on the turn, yes, pivot, arms and hands.

I know it sounds hard. Hit it on a curve with the clubface swinging from open to closed, more and less till it works.

Try it. You will thank me in six months and more importantly in TEN years.

This is about the time you are smart enough to realize what you SHOULD have done. If that happens to you, you did not take the advise.

Here is hoping!

Dart…Go out and and hit some balls with me. Play a round with me and break 70…. Are you up to playing for a living?. The advice you give to people astounds me?

Why are there so many angry young men allowed access to the internet?

Nada, you were in nappies that were probably filled when Dart was out earning his living. Its easy to hide behind a handle too:)

Correct me if I’m wrong didn’t dart play his first Australian open at the age of 14, Granty metioned this story to me.
Honestly Nada does it really matter what your playing ability is.To be a good coach.
Thanks to dart with his knowledge he taught me helped me make a huge come back, I had an horrific accident and lucky to survive ,every disc in my back is crushed and permantley buldged, Last march shot 108 by december last year broke par. Thanks to dart and fergi’s help. Also they helped me become a good coach as well.
How much money is up for stakes for shooting 70,
