Peter, I agree that instructional videos are great reference materials and your videos are a great example. I say that in comparison to other instructional videos I bought.

Off topic, since you gave away a President’s Cup ticket. Do you think the Americans played extremely well to win it or the Internationals just played poorly and handed them the cup?

Dear moonmag,

The President’s Cup was a fantastic success! The Americans won it fair and square and they just played better in the Team Matches.

I think Jason Day was exhausted after the pressure packed year that he just had and Robert Allenby just didn’t deliver the normal brillance he usually does when at Royal Melbourne.

I think the Korean boys were terrific and did their Country proud.

In all it was what it was and the American Team got it done better for this week.

It now time to sumarise what Step Two includes and move on to Step Three. If there are any other thoughts on what Step Two should include, please do so now as this is the last attempt to get in and have your toughts expressed on “What is Step Two on your “Path to Better Golf?”

Dear Loren,

Thanks for your post here. Being clear on the swing direction is an important early step in building your own best swing.

“Stance line” and “Plane Line” help set you up to make a free wheeling, non compensating swing.

The Plane Line is that line on the ground that represents the intended line of flight of the ball and the line which the club shaft points at throughout the swing except when the clubshaft is parallel to the ground and then it is parallel to the “Plane Line.”

This path that the club shaft traces throughout the swing is know as the swing plane and best floats between the “Shaft Plane” as set at “Address” and the place where the right shoulder turns to by the end of the backswing.

To me this “plane of action” is set up by the stance and the initial 30 cm of the clubhead path during the “Takeaway.”

Many golfers have confusion when the word “plane” is brought into the picture when discussing swing mechanics.

I prefer to focus on the “Path of the CLubhead” and control it via “Educated Hands.”

Thanks,

My question is “How do you define correct posture, stance?”

Given all the different body types, flexibility, age, ability etc. the Pro should teach the optimum address position to give the base for a solid swing.
Stance → width, feet splayed, knee flexion.
Posture → straight spine angle, correct reach, head position.

Dear waffle_iron,

For mine together with the Concept that “Golf is a Two Target Game” comes the “STANCE.”

I include these Video Downloads here to share the Croker Golf System STEP TWO.

Peter, clicking on the STANCE 2 link doesn’t work for me.

I enjoyed the simplicity of your STANCE 1 video, but it does seem to depend on having the feet in the right place to begin with. Are you going to cover that aspect as well?

Dear Hermit,

Thanks for your post here. 1444 Posts is a lot of activity on any Forum. Your contributions over the years has been appreciated by the Iseek Forum Members.

Also thanks for validating the “Stance 1” video download.
Please check if “Stance 2 is able to be seen. I have moved it from “Private” to “Unlisted” and hope this can now be viewed by Forum Members.
As far as the precision of distance from the ball and ball location, these can be found in depth on our Online Step by Step Program

Please let me know once you have been through the Step Two of this LEVEL ONE if there is enough answers presented through this Online Program?

Dear HeadPro,

Now is the time to move on to select our Step Three in the building process of our own “Best Golf Swing.”

It is amazing how many considerations come into view once we decide to look at building a better swing.

So much data and plenty of confusion on what is important and what is not!

In summary and in simplicity we have established that 1. Basic Concepts are important to start – a) At Impact the clubhead is travelling down and out while the clubface is closing to hit the ball straight.
b) The Clubhead is swinging on a wheel like motion on an inclined plane.
c) The golf swing is based on rotation.
2. The Mechanics of “Grip” are important and come at Step One.
3. Have a “Model Swing” as a reference point helps.
4. Rhythm, Balance, and Tempo are important.
5. The Mechanic of “Stance” come in at Step Two.

Now let us add our thoughts on What Step Three should encompass?

Dear Hermit,

Before I sumarize further here, please advise if Stance 2 is able to be viewed?

To sumarize:
1. Step Two has received over 4000 views and 76 posts to this date.

2. 12 different Members posted their thoughts and I would like to thank them all for their valued contributions.

3. From the various posts it is clear that there are many points to get in place if a golfer is to progress on their journey towards a lower handicap.
The question is “What should Step Two include?”
As mentioned the “Interview Process” must continue and feedback from the student as to their motivations and any questions that they have that need to have answers at this time need to be addressed.
4. At Step Two and all Steps we need to be aware of “The Barriers to Learning.”
Barrier 1: Missing Steps
Barrier 2: A lack of balance between “Doing” and “Theory.”
Barrier 3: Misunderstood Words and/or Concepts
We are only at Step Two in our journey and although we want to know everything so that we can effectively hit the ball, this is a mistake this early in the building process.
5. We are only starting to put a “Plan of Action” together and for “The Croker Golf System” Step Two is about building a solid stance with all alignments in place prior to making the swing motion. Starting the building of an “Address Routine” can help here also.
This is covered in depth in our “Online Step by Step Program.”

In the Croker Golf System the Stance is the Basic that needs to be addressed and when in place the Third Step follows.
The more “Thorough” the student is at Step One and Step Two the brighter their golfing future will be.
Good Golfing, Best Wishes, and Merry Christmas,

Peter C

Peter, the link still points to “my_videos” at you tube.

At a guess, when you click on the link it takes you to “your_videos” you can see it because it is one of your videos. When I click on the link it takes me to “my_videos” and I can’t see it because it is not one of mine.

Maybe somebody who knows more about these things than me can help.

What do you mean by a Syllabus? If grip and stance was the first step I would work on impact and its concepts as the third step.

Hi Hermit
What do you mean by a Syllabus? If grip and stance was the first step I would work on impact and its concepts as the third step.

Syllabus as in a list of topics or steps.

On the first step of grip Peter was kind enough to share some videos. I was wondering whether he intended to do the same for each step he identified.

Peter Stance 2 still can’t be viewed, but my question though is from your summary. What’s the right balance between “Doing” and “Theory”?

Dear Moontag,

The STANCE 2 should be available now for Christmas.

Please let me know if it is still blocked.

Dear moonmag,

This is a great question and the answer is to be discovered in truth by applying “The Laws of Accuracy” to your training routine.

100% accuracy at each distance step is the honest way to establish the balance between “Doing” and “Theory.”

For those who would like to test drive this balance between “Theory” and “Doing” with myself on January 4th at THE DUNES—we will hold a 1 DAY FULL SWING – Drive for POWER and ACCURACY SCHOOL – ring me on 0415292549 to book – 50% discount if booked by December 28th.

Dear Expertgolfer,

Thanks for your help in clarifyng the question asked about “Syllabus” and the idea of following a logical “in sequence” step by step program.

For the interest of Forum Members who are thinking “How many step are needed to build competence in the striking of a golf ball correctly?”

Croker Golf System Step by Step Program has assembled 15 steps in total to achieve a competent and orthodox golf swing that gives a kinetic link from the feet all the way out to the clubhead.

We plan to share the basics of this thorough and precision “uncompensating” golf swing as we gather contributions from all who would like to share their ideas on what they consider important in building their own best swing – their golf swing for a lifetime of fun and skill while playing the game of golf.

For those who cannot wait to discover what the Croker Golf System has built, then this Christmas is the opportunity to buy the complete Step by Step Online Video Download Program including “The Secrets of the Golf Swing” for an unbelievable price of $29.00.
Click on here and for the next 30 plus hours the deal is alive and available on www.dealme.com.au

Hi Everybody, I am a PGA Member and have been since 2000. My career has been a journey to find ‘the truth’ about the golf swing and ‘the truth’ on club fitting.

Early on in my career I found the truth on club fitting and I have been able to help my students with their choice on equipment. I never discard any fitting method until I have thoroughly investigated the results. In my career I have Australasian Club fitter of the Year and I have had the opportunity to have a key involvement in the PGA PDP Program and have been a mentor to the NSW PGA Trainees. I have been blessed with learning the right techniques from the right people early on in my career in this field. Thank you Mr Mark Gibson, you shaped my career and my life.

In junior golf I have had the opportunity to develop strong development programs in 3 states in Australia and all my success, the awards that I have been lucky enough to have achieved were a direct result of the information, dedication, and passion of Mr Glenn Whittle. I am grateful.

In my search for answers on the golf swing it is only recently in my career that I have found the method that can permantently and immediately improve all golfers, male or female, young or old. That knowledge came from PGA Member Mr Peter Croker. The step by step program changes golf swings quicker and easier than anything that I have yet seen. My eyes have been opened to an entire new method in learning that I have the privelidge of sharing with my students. I have achieved success previously in own teaching having been a home coach to the New South Wales Institute of Sport, but now, for me…. the sky is the limit.

I feel that through Peter’s program that I can help people so much better than before, and from a personal playing perspective, I have never hit the ball so sweetly and so straight.

Honestly, I had lost faith in giving lessons, not getting the results that I so wanted for my students. Now, I’m alive again! I can breath each day with a new excitement that I can make a difference.

Thank you Peter for teaching me how to deliver your program, my students thank you too. You have changed my life.

Matthew Stapleton

Hi all,
Peter’s book Path to Better Golf has been lurking on my bookshelf since first published.Wasted 8 years before connecting with Peter
via the video step by step downloads since Oct. 2011.
Both the book and the video downloads support each other in explaining what cannot be said in either mediums.
Case in point : The Grip, the book, pg 67 clearly shows the interlock vs overlap grip. Comparing the two, look at how the knuckle(closest to the palm) of the small finger changes the attitude of the back of the right hand when it’s set on the grip. Compare this to the interlock and see how both hands are set in a parallel fashion allowing for optimal hinging of the hands. The Push of the Left Hand, again the video is supported the Shaft Drill, pg 103 which clearly shows that the right arm lengthens in the push back and that the resistance of the right hand is not insignificant resulting in the slingback of the club head.
The eureka moments are going to happen with the step by step
acquisition of the required skill levels but it pays to quietly refer to the written word for the same ideas but a different way of looking at the solution.
A brief drill on Utube is shown on pgs.33-25 in depth. This is the litmus test of Peter’s method.
So if your’e ever stuck on a desert island, here’s hoping you have the following essentials, Croker and Homer Kelleys books, Peter and Paul Harts videos and explanations and a sand wedge. Golf balls, beer…......And so the journey continues, best regards, Eva K
s video downloads and Paul Harts
