Best Value Courses in Brisbane - $ and playability

Just trying to get some input as to which are the best courses to play in the
Brisbane area - in terms of reasonable green fees, and course enjoyment. I am an average weekend golfer - usually play in the 90's.
Please add green fee prices if known
Cheers

If you're a member of a course Windaroo have a nice deal where visitors alre allowed to play in Wednesday and Saturday comps for $25 (plus you receive a free sleeve of balls).
The course is an excellent layout, and although it has been maintained poorly in the past the new owners are sinking money into the course (thats right, not the clubhouse or pokie machines) and the course is in pretty good shape now.

Your best bet would be to have a hit on the main 18 at Keperra - great value for around $30 - alternatively get down to Wynnum - I guess price would be similar ?

You're on the money there - Keperra is my favourite course to date, I actually used to work there on the ground staff, a few years back.
The only other courses I have really played in Brisbane are Oxley, Ashgrove (live locally), Keperra (many times), samford, Nudgee and Virginia...and Aspley Pin High (RIP!!)
Never played Wynnum - driven past many times.

Caboolture is about $20 or $22 for 18, I think it's $12.50 on a Monday.

as far as premium courses go $80 including cart at north lakes is aweseome value.

Redcliffe is good, I think better than Keppera. Brookwater is suppose to be the mintest course in Brisbane, on the expensive side but from all I have spoken to that have played it, well worth the $s.
Wynnum is a very short course.
Pine Rivers used to be fun, but I haven't been there for years.
Caboolture is good, isn't that where Pampling was a greenkeeper?

I know its no Brisbane but its only an hour and a bit north.
Noosa Springs have a special day on the 22/5/05 , Stableford open day, cart, comp fees, $65 all up. Heres a chance to play a top resort course for a good price. They are advertising it now and bookings are adviseable now.

Redland Bay on the southside is worth a round. On the north I'd agree that Redcliffe is an excellent course.

Thanks for the tips guys.

I took your advice and used a VMCG voucher from this site and fly up to play there (North Lakes) last Thursday (12th May 2005).
It did rain a little that morning but the Course held up really well.
The course staff were some of the friendliest you will ever meet and they were more that happy for me to pay with the Voucher.

I was considering playing one of the better local public courses.

But I decided to try North Lakes as I only flew up for the day and did not have my trolley with me. And while im always happy taking the trolley around the thought of carrying my bag around 18 Holes (i didn't know) did not appeal to much.

So the taking into the fact It would cost $30 for a round and $30 for a buggy i decided to for the teh priemium option (for the same price).

I am so glad i did as it was well worth the trip/price.

Cant wait to get back to brissie
