Hi all, am playing some matchplay this Sunday at Cumberland. I dont know the course, and their website does not offer a course guide. can anyone offer any tips? Ill be playing of the blue plates and I hear that there are a couple of blind tee shots on some par 4s.. ultimatelye I’m more interested in where NOT to go, ie where jail is. Any help much appreciated.

Hey mate, Only played there once, don’t remember too much about the blind tee shots, but make sure you don’t leak your drive on the second hole (an average length, slightly tight par 5 that doglegs slightly left to right, from memory) to the right. You can’t see it from the tee, but just off the fairway at a driver’s length from the tee there’s big pond. I didn’t even realise it was there til I got closer and couldn’t find my ball…
Tramps like us, baby we were born to run. |

Cheers fuzzy. Anyone else have any advice on club selection or line off any other tees?

Fairways & greens, limit the no of three putts and be nice to your Mrs. You won’t go wrong in life!

Short par 4 om the back 9, back of course runs away from Clubhouse. Blind tee over hill and through a bottleneck to a protected green.
Got nothing. |
