waiting list is short, reason being members who had been there for more than 50 years had free membership = not any more

moreland council stopped the club’s plans to build on practice fairway.

moreland council will buy practice fairway and build an open space park with netball courts and play area’s.

club will change holes 8, 9 & 10.

build another (fenced) range that drivers can be used on
a practice green
a practice area
think a 19th hole too
bunker reno’s under way
have a desal plant for year round water if needed.

money left over to go into trust for the club’s future.
a good future a head

any one else heading home to get married??

Most of the extra room is the trees between the existing 9th and 10th holes. There is also a heap of space behind the current 8th green, this is being extended to make it a par 5.

As a member I’m certainly looking forward to the changes, without too much disruption, unfortunately though if the Bunker reconditioning program is anything to go by, it may be a long and arduous exercise.

Let’s hope this thing gets moving in the next 12-18 months so it’s all go for the 2014/2015 summer.

It’s also good to have a bit of a war chest to gradually improve facilities, like the Bar and clubhouse need a good update.

Yeah the proposed changes and war chest sound like northern have a bright future.
