Kiama/Wollongong/Gerrigong/Port Kembla - which one?!

Hi,
Just in the process of booking a weekend away for a group of mates. I’ve booked The Links at Shell Cove as I’m a fan, and I’m keen to play Gerrigong (amazing location) but I’ve played there a heap of times and thought about trying something new.

Should I try Port Kembla (recent reviews make it sound slow and bad greens) or Kiama (sounds short) or somewhere else?

I’m scratching my head and would really appreciate some feedback.

Thanks in advance.

Play Wollongong

You may have already had your weekend and if your looking for a club house this is of no value so disregard. But, if you’re just out for fun with a BBQ area and plenty of eskies at the end, try Calderwood Valley, (just out of Albion Park) fun course, not too hard, a pleasant but mildly hilly walk with great scenery.

The key to success is to learn to do something right, then do it right every time. Oh I wish.....

it’s true Kiama is short, but it is a very enjoyable and testing course, so I’d suggest go to Kiama.

I say this as a completely unbiased member of Kiama Golf Club LOL. but seriously it is great little course, give it a go.

I would play Wollongong….tough track, right on the coast….

A bad day at golf is better than a good day at work.

Thanks for the advice, it looks like we’re playing The Links and Gerringong – a lot of the lads playing tried to cut the corner on the big Par 5 (when you hit over the beach) and didn’t make it. They want to try again!!

I’m always heading down to Gerroa in the summer so will try Kiama and the Gong on the way.
