New Sandhurst Champions Course

Anyone played the new Champions course at Sandhurst? I’ve played it twice now and have found the greens, fairways and bunkers to be in excellent condition considering the age of the course. Will be a nice layout when more tree planting is done.

'Follow-Through: The part of the swing that takes place after the ball has been hit, but before the club has been thrown.'

Good condition does not equal good layout.

Beware of cheap imitations - Especially from the US

Have you played the course Fyirippu?

Yes.

It is not as good as the old course.

Why is it not as good Fyirippu?

I haven’t played it but am interested what would make it worse?

Firey

Once the rough and trees (When planted) develop, I think this course will be the better course, especially on the eye. No doubt it is the easier of the two now, but in reality the courses are different.

North course – Wide fairways and huge flattish greens
Champs course – Tighter fairways and small contoured greens

By the way, you didn’t score too well last weekend when you played the Champs course (Windy conditions but not really tough), I would hate to see how you would have gone on the ‘tougher’ North course. :-)
