Boys - Give it up for JJJ. After a ton of resistance, he's seen the light, and purchased a SS Newport 2. Scotty makes these for lefties as we know. So now, rather than hearing his knees knocking together over the three footers, I'll be hearing laughter as JJJ holes them from down town. Now if we could just get those dog ugly Ping irons out of his bag... How about a nice set of Titleist PM 731's Jonesy? MM

Oh the shame of it all, and at least get it right Kite Boy, it's a Newport 2.5 SS. I will plead temporary insanity. Just off the plane from Perth, midnight, exhausted and mucking around on EBay... You all know the story from there. JJ

Gentlemen, I am not a Scotty fan (in fact his nickname in the industry, Xerox, probably says it all) but I must admit that the Newport 2.5 is a very pretty putter that sits very square. It wasn't that serious a bid and I'm still surprised to have picked it up pretty cheaply. Now all you lefties looking for a new putter I have a mint Ping Anser X looking for a new home. JJ

Welcome to the club JJJ. I've got the same putter and won't go back to anything else. 30 putts last week for 40 pts, 27 on the weekend for 34 pts and it rolls the ball beautifully. 8)
