I have a titleist 905R with an aldila NV shaft in it. I have a Proforce V2 shaft sitting here, If i was to get the V2 put in the 905 what diffence would i notice?

i know someone who went the opposite (stiffv2 to stiff aldila NV 65). He got rid of the V2 as it was too boardy and hard to control. He likes the aldila more now. Ball flight is higher with aldila i think. So opposite results i guess, much stiffer shaft and lower flight.

Yeah I did exactly what you are about to do with the same club. Much happier with the V2. Feels much stiffer and flies straighter with a more penetrating trajectory.

I’m thinking of doing the same thing with my driver. i have a Taylormade CGB max with an Aldilla proto by you shaft and it feels too whippy and uncontrollable. so i think the best option would be to put in a ust proforce v2 high launch shaft i guess , not sure???
i’d be interested to hear your results.

v2 comes in 2 forms apparently a standard one and the other a high launch form….

yes adila is softer and more whippy for a similar grade in v2

I am officially over aldila and fuji shafts I am a gear junky and have tried to buy myself out of a slump(now seen sense with coaching and practicing out of a slump “better and a lot cheaper”)
I had a callaway fti square with a speeder stiff flex so stiff its midway into x in flex , so stiff it now has pelicans on top of it by the freeway. change to regular and so soft its a joke. Now officially over the square head thing thinking its the square shape so I go to a ft5 with a fuji 360 still having dramas have shaft checked and this is way too stiff,they swap it to a different club with identical specs and its good . Now because I cant help myself I like the look of the mizuno mp600(cause its got fiddly bits might have to mention this in therapy) so i order it with the same shaft as the callaway I was using and find this shaft is so stiff a mate who uses X flex in his own clubs cant even get this shaft to kick
aldila shafts in my fairway wood and hybrids and they are all over the place after a few hits you can adjust but they are so inconsistant its the lack of quality control I have a problem with
Now have V2 in my driver fitted and checked properly and it is great. will also be putting into my fairway clubs and not changing anything else. By the way great forum Trevor
