Become friends with someone who works at a golf store. My playing partner works at drummond and gets everything at wholesale.
Otherwise – e-bay.

If your patient you will get them for a good price on ebay. Set your limit price and bid at last minute up to your limit. Don’t get impatient or you will end up paying too much.

You might want to considered recycled ones which can be bought on ebay and at lots of retail places.

i found these

http://www.rockbottomgolf.c...

works out to just under $2 per ball, they maybe used but im sure they’ll still be in good condition?

anyone bought these before?

Would you marry a hooker? Then don’t buy used golf balls.

You should rarely lose more than 2 during a round which aint that expensive and if you are then you shouldn’t be playing Pro V’s anyway.

Buy the ball for your handicap.

Don’t agree with you Jack. I use mint re finished pro V1’s and you can’t tell the difference, they look almost brand new. I don’t buy them refinished because I lose balls either, I buy them refinished because they only last 1 round before they cut up and there is no way I’m spending $80 on balls every 10-12 weeks. After that they go in the practice bag.

If you want them new, and depending on the quantity to lower the average freight price, new pro v’s can be delivered to your door by Edwin Watts (US golf store), for under $60 per dozen at the current exchange rate.

Just to add to that, test a few quantities before you finalise your order. Some times four dozen is cheaper freight than eight dozen (average rate per ball I mean). Must have something to do with the actual size and/or weight of the final package.

Golfsmith do some good deals on logo overruns.

get onto edwin watts, they are on their site for US$46, but if you get enough of them at the moment i think the are US$39.99.

i would recommend you get a few of your mates and get a big order together, then the freight comes to next to nothing, just don’t go over a grand, as you will then have to pay duty tax.

I just did some mucking around on edwin watts, and basically it is $48 shipping for the first box, then $11-ish per dozen after that.

So the boxes work out at $60-something per dozen, which is a price that can be found locally anyhow.

EDIT: Oh, and even buying 50 dozen, the price was still $46, not $39.

Where can I buy Pro v’s for A$57 dozen, delivered to front door in less than five days “locally” ???

Let me break it down for you.

From Edwin Watts (all prices straight out of their shopping cart right now):

1 dozen from Edwin Watts will cost you US$45.99 + US$48.48 = US$94.47 or approx AUD$98.62 at the current exchange rate on http://xe.com/ucc/ .

5 dozen will cost you AUD$320.82 total, or AUD$64.16/doz.

10 dozen will cost you AUD$603.99 total, or AUD$60.40/doz.

.... I could go on forever.

Anyway, I am not saying is is not a good deal, it is just not unheard of. Even Squizzy’s have single-dozen pro v1’s for $68.99, so it takes quite a bit of buying before the edwin watts balls get down to a decent level if you ask me.

Unless you are looking at dropping $300-400 on golf balls, it is simply not worth getting them from Edwin Watts.

Don’t know where you get your exchange rate, the last lot I bought two weeks ago, worse exchange rate than today, averaged out at less than A$58 delivered ( 8 doz).
Each to his own.

Don’t know where you get your exchange rate…

I stated where I got it from:

You’ll find the banks will give you an even worse exchange rate as well, so that is generally a best-case scenario.

paypal has pretty good exchange rates

5 Doz from TGW.com works out to $229.75 US + $49.35 shipping.

Once exchange rate is factored in that’s $58 a box AU delivered

I just get them 250 at a time in pre loved AAA condition for about $2 a ball. After 1 hole I’ll challenge anyone to tell a AAA used one from a new one. Most of them look unhit to begin with.

$69.95 per dozen from House of Golf at Kawana on Sunshine Coast.

Best I’ve seen on the Coast.

not being rude, but are you actually contacting edwin-watts, or just going by their web site?
i think you will find if you e-mail them and get a decent order you will get very good prices on balls and freight.

Obviously I was going off their website. I would hope that if I emailed them with an order for 50 dozen I would get a better price. But that wasn’t my point.

I was just saying that freight was a killer on smaller orders, and that I could not find the $39 price listed anywhere. Nothing more, nothing less.

Obviously you need to order more than 1 or 2 boxes for the prices to come down.
the most i have ever paid for freight (DHL) is US$120, regardless of how many pills i order. i can’t see it being any more than this as you would then go over a grand, which would then be a waste of time due to the taxes.
