I Use clubmate golf at Byron,

or golfcomponents.com.au

"the woods are full of long drivers"

www.myostrichgolf.com/

I have bought from them before and they had everything I needed.
Or also try golfsmith

Thanks guys, but what about an Australian supplier

What are you after exactly.

I have used Clubmate golf for grips, grip tape and solvent as well as some Wishon books. Clubheads I have got from Golfworks.com, tools from golfmechanix…can’t see the issue with going overseas shipping is generally around a week so no big issue.

down and out…did ya get that?

If you were on the ball (or posted a coupl;e of days ago) you could have scooped all your gear cheap in the Golfsmith Friends & Family Sale last week… Stock up every 6 months.

Per the above it depends entirely on what and importantly how much you need.

For small orders (couple of grips, shafts or alike) local suppliers are definitely the go with Clubmate, Exec and others all providing excellent services, rapid delivery and fair pricing.

For larger orders (or less urgent requirements) and given the strength of the $AUD right now US suppliers are a very attractive option with a myriad on offer depending what you want to buy. I’ve bought from quite a few over the years with no hassle from them or customs.

As an example I recently ordered 5 x SMT Nemisis driver heads from the US and had them on my door in less than 5 days for <$80 each delivered inc headcovers, ferrules and grips. I bought the shafts locally given there was little difference in $ and things like shafts are expensive, fragile and difficult to ship internationally.

Where’d you pick up the SMT heads so cheaply from?

I would like to know were you got the Nemisis so cheap?

$80 is a great price for SMT Driver components.

Don't talk about it, do it , Life is to short.

Ordered from 2putt golf – they were advertised for $109 USD each + frieght but I just asked for a single price for the 5 of the same loft shipped via USPS priority and was amazed at the price offered – may well have been a mistake on their end but I wasn’t going to ask twice !!

I just checked my credit card statement again and the final price was slightly higher than I thought and equated to $91 AUD each landed at my door which is still damn cheap for the head, headcover, grip and ferrule. Despite the design being “mature” the Nemesis are a sweet looking head and play very well … for me anyways !!

To be honest all I am after is some rubber shaft clamps

if you are just after some soft jaws you should be able to go into a club making shop and ask them if you could purchase a couple, if not you will be able to find them on the internet for around $5

IMHO – If you want to get the best price its as simple as finding a reputable medium to small supplier (use forums, ebay feedbacks and alike to gather this info), getting a couple of mates together (to increase the volume and share freight costs) and then order as a bundle so you can maximise the discount they’ll give you.

I’ve done this many times and you will get varied prices depending on who you deal with and if they have the stock but its always below their advertised prices. On Monday I have 2 new Ogio Vaporlite bags arriving from the US as there no stock here I could find and they did them for a very good price delivered (bags are generally quite expensive to freight).

Happy shopping… but as they say in the classics “caveat emptor”
