I am sure there are topics out there re: buggies however I am looking at buying a new buggy and it is down to these two. I am interested if anyone has used both and how they compare. Also does anyone know of a try before you buy option in Brisbane?

I’m with muggolfer. Got my smoothy a few months ago… Best buggy I’ve ever used.
Powered By Nickent....Mostly! |

Me too….got my smoothy last week and had its maiden voyage at the weekend….my best decision for a while… All I know about the Clic Gear is that it seems 100 bucks more expensive! How much better can it be? There is also the big wheeled jobs (dont know the proper name) but they look very odd and you might feel like a dick with one! Not heard a bad thing about the smoothy

Those big wheel jobs remind me of the trolley they used to wheel around Hannibal Lector !!!! LOL Funny looking buggy’s. They look like a pram.

Smoothy all the way for me.
A bad day at golf is better than a good day at work. |

The smoothy looks the way to go but the clic gear takes up a lot less room in the boot. Has anyone used one?

Scroll down to page 4 and have a look at some of the threads under ‘Push / Pull Buggies’ that were posted a few days back. All the best

I was at this crossroad a while back. Smoothy buggies went on sale and now I have no regrets. Glad I didn’t go for Clic Gear ‘cos the Smoothy’s features and ease of use far outweigh extra boot space.

Clic Gear – Folds up to a shoe box – rolls like a dream and looks better too

Don’t worry about the size of the buggy, go the smoothy. I’ve had mine for a couple of months now and love it. BTW, get the umbrella holder too, yes, it’s a smoothy brand made for the buggy. It saves a lot of time while playing in wet weather. The umbrella holder is great, it allows you to have both hands free, it just makes a world of difference. Go the Smoothy and you will never look back.
Just trust it! |

Also, the foot brake and ease of use are fantastic!

Hi Guys, I found this thread interesting. We just received stock of the Clic Gear 2.0 buggy which arrived into Australia on June 24th and is a brand new model. I have to say that it is the Rolls Royce of golf buggies, by a long shot. It would be difficult to get an honest opinion from the forum regarding the Clic Gear 2.0 buggy versus the Smoothy because the Smoothy has been on the market for a while and the Clic Gear 2.0 just landed however before Ferrari, people were content with say, a Jaguar!! Can’t praise the design, functionality, size and features of this one enough. The supplier is already out of stock of these which has proven how popular they are so they might be hard to come by for the next few weeks until the next shipment arrives. I’ve created a voucher code which will give you 10% off the buggy. We have white in stock and they look hot. Enter “iseekclicgear” into the voucher box to receive your discount. Offer expires Sunday July 6th. We also have stock of the accessories including the boot wheel cover, shoe brush and wall mount hook. Sincerely, Brad Lindenberg
