wondering if any one is using or tried any clubs in this range and what u think and maybe FYBRIDs as well
cheers

I just finished hitting the Taylor Made Burners, Ping G10, Callaway Fusion, Nike Slingshot, Cobra S9, and Wilson Di7 irons over a
period of a couple days. the eventual winner was also the least
expensive. I chose the Wilson. They have a great look, seem very
forgiving, and flat out spank the ball. I am a 16 handicapper and am
looking forward to getting that number down with these irons.

ps – have your clubs fitted. It makes all the difference in the world. I was hitting 165 – 172 with a 6 iron. then the fitter gave me a Wilson
that was about 1/2” shorter and the next 6 shots were in the 178 – 190
range – and straight.

underated they are…I had aset wilson PI5’s and oved them

dad had a set wilson Di5s and they were the easiest irons to hit I have used…funny thing os they are not forged but feel really soft at impact

I have a set of Ci6s sitting around here somewhere from about 2 years ago that were sweet to hit…...just easy.

Come to think of it why did I stop playing them?? Oh that’s right. I built some choice Naks thru Benny….....& then some really nice Wood Bros irons…....they were great on the 2 rounds I used them….must give them another hit…...& then some Accu Plus cheap a$$ build a set for under $50 experiment that hit it very straight but off the planet high…....& then some proto forged Orlimars that I’m using now…...when does that set of Palmers ship??......I am not an addict…..hic…kill me…hic…kill me.

Mmmmm…new SMT head coming in August….

Wilson Di7’s couldn’t resist buying them after testing a demo.Straight off the shelf, no fitting, they are a bit longer lengthwise to standard on my other clubs but very happy with them.See them on special in USA for less thanUS300 absolute steal

No matter how bad your game it is always possible to get better or worse

Thanks guys,
Read lots of good stuff on them ,but whos gonna
print bad stuff any way.

Am gonna try find some to try out .
What shafts did u all get steel/graph.
Hey Tim what problem !

Cheers Daggs

if I was going to buy a set of clubs for somone who I didnt know but knew could hit the ball i would choose any of the wilson pro staff clubs….they are dead easy to hit, I mean dead easy

even ther samller headed PI5’s werre easy to hit

I hit steel shafts. The Wilson (Di7) shaft length is about 1/4” longer
than your “standard ” length so keep that in mind when hitting them.

thats why the fitting is so important, my optimal was 1/2” shorter
than the “Wilson Standard”.

good luck – Mike

Thanks Mike ,

Thats not a bad crack with a 6 iron dood.

I have a set of Di7’s, FYbrids and Spine. Graphite shafts. I also tried a bunch of clubs in the shop over a few different sessions and the Wilson Staffs won hands down for my price range. Personally I’ve found the FYbrid fairway drivers to be outstanding and the Spine driver even better than those. Have had a few niggles with them and the 3H, but that’s been human error. Give ‘em a whack and see what you think. Mine are also ½” shorter than standard.

Cheers mate they all seem pretty good value for $.
will go have a try real soon.
