TaylorMade Burner Draw Drivers

Anyone use them? I would appreciate some feedback on them.
Are they appropriate for a high handicapper/beginner?
Do they actually draw, or do they hook badly if you pull it? (or hit straight)?
Do they add distance to your shots like they claim to?
How much did you get them for?

When were they released and how much is the RRP on them now?

Used them.

they are MEGA shut and draw biased. if you slice, it will help. but not always fix as there is obviously swing problems causing a slice…....

RRP is the same as the burner $469 i think, but you should pick up cheaper if you work with the salesman/woman.

if you want one, get it soon, as they are soon to be discontinued and have not been informed of a replacement

sigs are back – YAY

these are perfect for beginners – have a stretched out 460cc head, giving you a large address area to give confidence – (more stretched than the standard burner) – they do sit closed, but for a slicer this is what u want. The burners are a long driver, how much longer will u hit it than your current driver, hard to say, everyone is different. If u got a big slice now, i highly doubt u will start hitting a hook – it will most likely help to correct the slice, making it not as bad – will it fix it completely? probably not, again, that is inherent to the person and their swing.

They are selling for below $400 atm, and they are being discontinued, so u can pick yourself up a bargain

hope that helps =)

ebay…$225 new….$245 with postage

I have hit one and despite it being mega shut I didnt hook everything

I use the standard burner whicch is about 1 degree closed and thats eenough

geez whos buying retail…not me….!!

I bought one for $360 in Singapore october last year and the price has plummeted since. I am a consistent slicer and it has helped me heaps. As an approx 18 marker I can now make most fairways and average 200-230m. I would not swap it for quids. The main thing is the huge sweet spot. To me this is the epitome of game improvement clubs. One tip is that it comes with either 45.5” or 46” shaft which is way too long for me. I reduced it to 44” and have seen many more fairways. A mate who doesn’t slice much bought the ordinary Burner and is also very happy. A no risk purchase for hackers IMHO

yeah I have the standard burner and it goes well also.

The draw version is great if youre a slicer….

I still have the 46 inch shaft in mine…Im 6ft…meh if I need control I grip it down slightly…downwind when Im feeling confident I will grip it right on the end and let it fly.

Like the look of the new burner tour
