Adidas Tour Shoes

Just got a new pair of Adidas shoes. Now I haven’t worn anything but Foot-Joy Classics(All leather) in over 20 years, so what should I do to these before I wear them? Saddle soap? Dubbin? Other?
Cheers

most modern shoes need nothing before wear these days.

My dad used to tell me to dubbin up the shoes and remove each spike, drop some oil in and retighten.

Feck all that!

They are a great shoe you will enjoy. Nothing to do before wearing.

I bought a pair of Adidas Tours last year and they are excellent shoes…Styles and PhantomX are right, do nothing but wear them, they are very comfortable and are very supportive (they say things like ‘good shot’ and ‘you can do it’) :-)

A bad day at golf is better than a good day at work.

the adidas tour 360s arew pretty hard show when you first get them (had 2 pairs so I know!!)

I always wear them in my office for 3 days before playing in them…I also only play 5 or 6 holes then put others on….leather is a hard material….

I actually buy mine of ebay..s.ometinmes lsightly used…the good thing is they have already been worn in a bit…

another tip is get some rolled up wet newspaper (into a ball) put the inside the shoe overnight…as the newpaper drys it expands a bit and pushes out on the shoe

you can also take shoes to shoe repair place anbd they can strecth the shoe for you using a rod they put into the shoe…which has a thread on it and it winds out stretching the shoe where you need it

also sonme peoples feet are more prone to blistering…everyones skin is different…some people blister more easily…

Thanks guys. I will give them a few laps of the lounge room. I am still looking for some saddle soap, as it is pretty good as a cleaner.
I am really enthusiastic about hitting my hybrid(never had anything in the bag like this before) while wearing very comfortable shoes, golf is much easier after a 5 year break.

Gez do nothng to these shoes…just wear them…they are the most comfortable and supportive shoes i have ever worn!

Dave_1 you either have a very wide foot or demand a lot from your shoes. Buying second shoes is NOT a good idea. The sole moulds to the shape of the person before you’s foot and thats probably not good for you.

Srixon i-701 Tour irons are HERE!!!!!

gez i’ve had my tour 360’s for a month wear em every day now they feel like a pair of old slippers best golf shoe i’ve ever had!

greg norman did not choke

Do they come with a spike tool or do you have to purchase that seperate? Even with the spikes removed from the picture in the banner of this website it looks like they have moulded spikes too.
Do these wear down quickly if your wearing them every day?
Im asking because i need a pair of new shoes and if i can kill 2 birds with one stone that would be great.

Anyone selling Titleist 735CM ???

I see your point…but I woprked in a sports store for 5 years about 8 years ago and they dont mould to your foot if they have been worn 4 or 5 times

I wear special inner soles that cost 70 bucks…they are made especially for my feet (not an orthodic though)

these go in all of my shoes….

saves me 120 buying them slightly used….wear a pair for 3 rounds and its halved in price…..a golf shoe should last ages….

I agree with other posters saying you don’t need to do anything to the shoes. Just wear them. They are not as comfortable as sneakers but comfortable never the less. The only regret I had was buying a black pair to start with and found later they get very hot under the sun. So I went and brought a white pair as well. Keeping the black pair for cloudy/rainy days.

ah ok…obviously if they have only been worn 3 or 4 times they would still be good…mate, when i was looking for golf shoes about 6 months ago i couldnt find many on ebay (i am guessing thats where ya get yours?) so forked out 220 for them

I had my last pair of Adidas for years and love them! Couldn’t resist when I saw Tour Metals on special though! Had to buy one white and one black pair. I’ve posted the link (hope I’m allowed to). Last week they were actually selling them for $99 each, however, $129 is still an amazing price!

Yeh i also went to purchase the tour metals when they were on special, but ended up getting the Universities instead, the tour specials looked better in the picture.so i changed my mind and got these.

I went to check out the Tour Metal as well. They look very ugly to me. I think Tour 360 is very comfortable same as Nike SP-8 TW

yeah found some used once….

I bought two pairs….360’s and nike sp TW…both great shoes…

one black (nikes – for winter) and Tour 360’s (white for summer)

When I got my Tour Metals delivered, I was a bit disappointed with the look. A few rounds in, and a few blisters later (the back heel is quite fluffy and needs some moulding to the foot), it is amazing what a few creases in the shoe can do for looks! Now that the black are broken in, it’s time to crack the whites into shape. I’ve got to say though, that they feel great, are ultra stable and once broken in, begin to look better than in the store.
