Does anyone have these? I think I am getting a set for Christmas. Anyways, what does the little painted dot mean on the hosel? My wife isn’t sure exactly what to get me, so she needs a bit of help.

Racinfarmer will be signing autographs at the mall from 3 to 5.

Hi Racinfarmer.

I tried these at a demo day and they are magnificent but very expensive.

Is the painted dot the lie angle ?

I tested the G10’s and mine were yellow dot.
Its their fitting sytem to use different coloured dots for their lie angles and lengths i think .
Lovely clubs but MAN so expensive !!!!!!

Mizuno F60 3W,5W, F50 7W
Adams 20 deg hybrid A flex
Cobra bafflers 23&26 A flex Proto by you
MX25 6-gw Mpr 54 Sw steel R

Yes still a muggolfer !!

i got a set of raptures imported. Fantastic clubs and very happy with them even if i am a hack

Raptures are fantastic – best clubs I have seen. Agree its on the expensive side. But worth it for me.

What about Cougar, Brosnan or Rapier clubs? They have to be out there as well?

What’s a good looking girl like you doing in a place like this? To answer your question the colours indicate lie angles, black is the standard and suits the majority so I’ve been told and they go up blue, green etc for upright and down red yellow etc for flat. There are 12 different options in Ping so you need to be fitted to get the one that suits your specs.Happy Xmas

No matter how bad your game it is always possible to get better or worse

So I need to ruin my Christmas suprise and go get fitted for clubs?

It will ruin the surprise to get them fitted, but it won’t ruin the experience you have with them afterwards… I would forego the surprise and get something you’ll be happy with for years.

If you still really want a surprise, ask for something else teeny-tiny to be wrapped up and stuck under the tree for you (even if it’s a silly 2-dollar-shop present), it’s still fun :)

Talk to the shop and I am sure they will find a way to get the best of both side.

How much are these clubs say from 3 iron through PW??

$999.99usd+ for steel shafted clubs and $1,199.99usd+ for graphite.

they look very chunky. Played with a guy the other day who had em and they were big. The I10 irons look ok from a picture. ..

Pings are great..very forgiving irons..yes exspensive

Going to bump this to the top. Local retailer will sell me steel shafted Raptures for 769.99 if I buy a set of Ping irons for the wifey too. Valentines Day gifts anyone?

Anyone hit Rapture’s yet? Compared to Taylor Made RAC OS irons?

Pretty similar irons I thought (I’m not on single figures so can’t really tell them apart). Would love the Pings for an indulgence but the Taylors were better value.

I’m Selling them at $99.95 Canadian per club – Our new years present from PING was a price reduction due to the strong canadian $

I tried a demo set of g10’s the other day…amd they felt way too light for me.

I have looked at the G10’s, G5’s and Raptures irons and I cant tell the difference between all 3..change the stickers and you wouldnt know the difference

in terms of hitting them them all though I actually liked the G5’s the best but I wouldnt buy a set because of thier price

Really??

You couldnt tell that the Rapture had a titanium face insert and the others didn’t? – Just as a starting point.

They all felt the same….if you look at thier shape they all have the same amount off off set

Tit face does nothing more than normal steel or carbon steel….its hype!!

i think Ti inset does give a different sound quality on impact, distinct ‘ping’ or higher pitched

so yes usually you can tell and feel a ‘slight’ difference
I have a Ti cup face wood and a Steel face and the sound and feel is slightly different

but performance wise is questionable….

If Tiger plays Lefty will he be that good ?
Square is Good ? Sure is, if it's the right stick !
Good Golf is Fun plus the Great Outdoors...
In the Bag: Clubs and Balls. My Handicap is Bad Golf.

yeah where the ball ends up is the same…I couldnt tell the difference in feel either

I tried the G5’s and they felt the best

It’s The Placebo effect
ever heard of it ?

I was just replying to the fact that you said you couldn’t tell the difference, & was kinda being a smartass by say “oh you didn’t realise the Tit face”, (Sorry Dave – Just my sense of humour.) no offence intended.

Playability wise I thing you will find the Success of the Rapture irons will come from people with slower swing speeds i.e women and seniors – without being biased. While its a high performance club, it is suited (Although not marketed) at a particluar audience.

The guy who hits a 7 iron 140 – 150 + will probably find the G10 better

sorry missed that

To sum up Ping irons are great….pretty much can be hit by anyone from hacker to pro

They are exspensive…if youre going to go ping check out Mizunos and other brands as they are just as good and can be cheaper

didnt know they were marketed at senoirs…senoirs dont have that much cash do they!!
