hi all i am spending a couple of weeks in the whitsundays and need to know the best tracks to play up that end of the country. any info would be great

Laguna Whitsundays is by far the best course in the area. Not the cheapest but a great course to play. If you don’t have a single figure handicap take at least a dozen spare balls, the rough is thick. You don’t have to be long there but you have to be straight. If you get down to Mackay, the Mackay course is worth playing and Pioneer Valley is quite good. There is also a course a Proserpine and Bowen.

The nine-holer on Lindeman Island is a lot of fun and very tough, if not the best course condition-wise. Some great views too.

laguna quays for sure. when i played up there, no one was playing. i ended playing 45 holes each day i was there.
