I'm betting on the D1 (given the ball marks all over the place on the D2)
Beware of cheap imitations - Especially from the US |

Enjoy the D1, I will happily take the D2 off your hands
down and out…did ya get that? |
|
I bet you would toolish,, but regardless i will keep them both
for the time being...

A friend of mine caved in the face of his 905R on tuesday at the WA Amateur and was lent a D2 with a Prolaunch Red X flex shaft by Brett Rumford. Over the next 36 holes he missed only 3 fairways and called it the best driver he had ever used. EVER! Personally I am looking forward to trying one of these out.

one looks like a driver, the other one is a big hideous triangle

triangle is the new square.

Keen to hear how they go, i'm looking at picking up a D2 with a stiff V2 in it from the US and would love some feedback.

sounds like sven thread/post
Been using the D1 VS proto for a few weeks now, it goes OK, a
little short at times I reckon. Been tempted to try the D2 as it
actually looks like a golf club, but there doesn't seem much
diff between that and the 905R in my humble opinion.

I went to try the FT-5 the other day and the shop assistant got me to try the 905R with a V2 on the launch monitor. He argued that you were better off buying the 905R as the D2 isn't a major improvement over the D2. It would be great to read a back to back comparison.

Hi Blueprint based on last weekends action, i can safely say that there is not much difference in the 2 of them although im now partial too the triangular shape of the D1, as for distance ? they both smoke ! long , straight and a good ball flight, some will say theres not alot of difference from the 905 , i can assure you there is, hit one, if you get the chance i wont say the exact lenghth of drive as i will be riddiculed but i will say there longer than 290+ on average, and i case anyone wants to debate it ? i was with 2 ISG'ers on the weekend at the vintage. i belive that most titleist stockists have them in stock, at $690, but i hear the bay is good for a deal... Cheers

Fyirippu you are on to me. Any slip of the finger on a key and you're there ready to pounce. That's twice in 2 days.
I am sure that what comes around goes around.

Ooooh yeah And has already been around a couple of times this year alone.

Being a cheap 'ho, i only just got a 905R out on to the course today for the first time. Let me say if either the D1 or D2 are an improvement on this driver then OMG! This thing was a 10.5 Speeder Reg and it went long and in the fairway where length is actually useful.
Now if I can just just snipe a D2 for under $200...

What did you shoot?

you're just pumping up his ego I'd be more interested in the new 907 D2 one he is selling, it obviously isn't the one he tested against the D1 then ????????? RRP is $629 by the way too.

Nope - just curious to see if those monster drives resulted in a good score or not.
