What shaft do Norman and Lonard have in their drivers?

jarro Dec 04 2002 17:00 5826 posts Member since 2002	Been watching the replay of the Coolum debacle and noticed that these guys have pretty cool looking shafts in their woods. Anyone know what they are?? :? Lonards is blue and Normans looks pale purple. Very striking

WIN the new R540 TaylorMade driver with 10.5 loft, a Fujikura Speeder 757 (S flex) shaft and Golf Pride Grip. I've seen a pic with Norman and the driver (tho I'm not sure how old the pic is) and it seems like tha color of the shaft is bluish/purplish??? Is this right??? It could be the new PurpleIce shaft, which is all the craze in the states... In fact, check out this site... http://www.gdintl.com Mw.

I didn't bother much with the demos since as usual i embarassed myslef with almost every singer driver he had from 500's, 300's to even the 200 steels :oops: i didn't even have the heart to go roll some with the rossa tour putter man i suck at the moment! great prep for the Norman von Nida medal final on Sunday at twin waters!

MacLeod Dec 05 2002 10:14 2205 posts Member since 2001	sigh...no just me baby...just me. tried the xr-03 pre-burner thingy driver...sucked 580, mas 70, sucked 540, mas 70/60, sucked 510, guy laughed at me... tm200 2 wood, my dream to own...sucked. TM300 with AldilaX tour stiff shaft from tour van...never seen a range rock curve like a sickle before...interesting..scared everyone shitelss and then asked to leave range forthwith

Given ur horrendous experience last nite, does that mean u're staying away from TMs now??? :wink: Of all the clubs u hit last nite, surely one of them didnt 'suck' as much as the rest...which was ur favourite??? Mw.

MacLeod Dec 05 2002 10:46 2205 posts Member since 2001	the xr-03 was pretty much just the production proto high COR version of the new burner range, same construction etc. they adopted the inverted cone stuff and tweaked some other things. the guy there uses the xr03 himself and won't swap to the burner range as he loves it. interestingly enough there is apparetnly only 40 xr-03 clubs left in australia and they are clearing them out for under $500 apparently.

MacLeod Dec 05 2002 11:55 2205 posts Member since 2001	i put my own arm behind my back and frogmarched myself out the door quite a show actually! i just can't get anything in my swing to work anymore. was with one coach, he left, one lesson with another now totally confused. must get back to my own swing and what works for me. my original coach at Oxley, Paul, helped me last night with some pointers as i'm getting my clubs regripped...6 papers! christ i've got big mitts!
